Hi Ladies,

I am a new personal use consultant with Arbonne, and I am a full-time consultant and team builder for another company. I'm wondering if any of you fit that same description?

For any of you that do, I have a question: doyou "share" your personal product discount with family and friends, or do you have them sign up for their own?

Thanks!

I actually have 2 other home based businesses and signed up in this for personal use. Yes I did give the products to my family for discount. It helped me build my order up so that I could take advantage of the $100 for $20 and the other specials without having to spend the volume myself. Of course now I have them hooked and they will be my biggest word of mouth advertising since I have decided to make this my main source of work. My others were Tupp**ware and Pamp**ed Che*.

I still do enough sales in those two without holding parties but am focusing on the Arbonne because I like their Compensation And Unlike the other two it is a consumable product and you aren't having to hound people to buy new stuff that they will just have to stack on top of the other stuff they bought. Don't get me wrong I am passionate about my other lines but I need something people will come back to me for on their own. Just made more sense. Do what feels right to you.

If your family never hestitates to charge you retail, charge retail, if you feel they would give it to you at cost, return that favor. They have brough me inseveralcustomers who bought at retail just tell them to refrain from mentioning that they get theirs at cost so the friends won't feel you should give them the same deal. Just my thoughts. Best of luck with both.

If you are not trying to build a business with arbonne, I would just share the discount with family and friends, unless you feel comfortable charging them retail and making 35% profit that way.A few accounts here and there will not make you much money at all, plus they will most likely contact you anyways to order to save on shipping.smileys/smiley2.gif

Now, I would offer them their own account if they are placing a $100 + order, since it would qualify them for an additional free product of choice. For example, if someone really wants the RE9 night cream which is our most expensive product at retail $72, it is actually cheaper to open the account and pay the $29 since they will get it free.

I am actually starting another party business with Lia Sophia jewelry, but I still plan on sharing my love for the products and offering wholesale accounts to people. I know we cannot present 2 companies at one party, but since I will have everyone's contact info., I think it should be fine to send them a sample of the skincare and if they like it, great!

Over time, you could start seeing a nice little profit just by telling all these people about an amazing skincare line your using!

Thanks for pointing that out Barbara about the not representing two companies at one party. Since she sounded like it was just a Personal use thing I never thought to mention that aspect. Some companies also have a little clause in their procedures that you can't represent another company if you reach a certain level within that company. As with ThePamp**ed Che*, you can't be a director with them and be a consultant for another company. You may want to check with the other party line that you are selling if you get into both as a consultant and are selling them retail.

If you have a family member that really wants to turn her house into an @rbonne home then she would definately benefit from opening her own account and taking advantage of the $700 for $350 RSVP. I do believe you get a bonus of $50 from her ordering the RSVP. Anyone else have anything we missed or great words of wisdom?
