Any other demonstrators out there using Facebook or Twitter to promote your business? Any successes on things that have worked well for you? I hope they have a class at Convention about social networking. I'd like to learn more!

I do have a facebook fan page and have had a recruit find me there and a party. The biggest thing is do more than just talk about your business, unless it is a page that is only about your business.

Yes, I have a Facebook page, Twitter and Blog that I use. There is definitely an etiquette that should be followed, or just as easily as you are gaining fans, you will lose them just as fast if you abuse it.
Gold Canyon does have Social Media workshops at Convention - they're very much for us having social media outlets and they use them as well to help us promote the business!
I have a personal and business part of Facebook. However, I only post once per day or at least a few times a week. I keep it interesting using all sorts of media posts... such as video clips, tips and recipes, contests & announcements! It keeps it fresh & interesting.
I've also held contests for referrals, etc.
I try to use my Twitter along side of my Blog too! I can track the amount of people through my blog who are checking out the articles and it has helped me get a better idea of what people are interested in. If something didn't get many hits, I may change it up for something that I see has had good response.

Hey,
We use Twitter @Bestaprons. Can't really say how succesful it is for usyet but we are assuming that it will increase overtime. It is one of those things that take time to play out and it is best to post interesting infos. We kind of see our followers as friends and try and share fun or crazy stories we hear on a day to day basis

I like Twitter as it is much more viral than FB. The key is to spend time responding to others, and retweeting, suggesting #ff and sharing yourself as a person. Just spamming the biz is the fastest way to get ignored and to be ineffective.
