Yes a spouse can be a consultant and in management. Here is the information from our policies manual.
2.10. One Business Per Consultant
Consultants may have an interest in only one Ar***** business. However, there may be two or more Ar***** independent businesses per Immediate Household so long as the following criteria are satisfied:

The other business(es) in the Immediate Household (the “Junior business”) must be placed on the front line of the first business (the “Senior business”) in the Immediate Household;

No one under the age of 18 may be an Ar***** Independent Consultant and have an Ar***** business;

The “Junior business(es)” must be a bona fide independent business that is operated by the person listed on the Arbonne Consultant Application & Agreement and not by the owner of the “Senior business.”
[/list]
An “Immediate Household” includes spouses, cohabitating couples, children and relatives residing in the same dwelling. Also included in the definition are students attending boarding school or college who reside at school or college during the school year, but within the dwelling of their parents or other relatives during non-school periods. Persons such as roommates and tenants who are unrelated by marriage, blood or adoption shall not fall within the definition of an “Immediate Household” and may each have their own AR***** independent business.

Wow, that's impressive. Many companies, I am finding out, will allow a
spouse to be a consultant but only one spouse can be in a management
position. Thanks for the information!

Maybe I'm missing the point, but wouldn't it be better if you both worked toward the management as one or can that be done. Unless you are just both aiming just for recognition and competition, I would think that being together you could earn a better bonus. Not really sure how all that works though.

I just signed up a married couple as a partnership. No one on my team had ever done that, so I had to learn how to do it and will share it with you here.
You sign up one person as a consultant via the internet just like usual. Then, once they have an ID# and pin, you have the second person fill out two forms: the paper consultant application and a form called the Business Entity Registration form. This is downloadable off the Internet Consultant page under Field Support and then Download Forms.
The person whom you signed up via the internet fills out the top half of the Business Registration form and checks 'Partnership" and then adds the second person's name and info. They then both sign. They need to fax in both forms to Arbonne. The second person will need to have their CC# on the Consultant application form, and they will need to pay the $29 consultant fee. Once Arbonne receives both forms, a completely new number will be assigned to their partnership which they will then share.
Hope this helps someone eventually!

Thanks for the info on the hus an dwife partnership. What about a business that wants to sign as the business name and not a person? I have this coming up in a couple of weeks and I am not sure how to handle that. Thanks for any input!smileys/smiley2.gif

Call Arbonne and ask them. I believe you would sign up the business owner and they would check "DBA" on the form I mentioned above. The field support rep was extremely helpful when I called.
