Hi everyone! I am just curious as to what your average Party sales are.

I know that they must vary for everyone and I am sure it also must depend on where you live but could you just tell me what the typical party sales are and average number of women in attendance. Also if you would mention the area you are from.

Thanks a bunch.

Hi Sylvia!

I now live in Central IL where my sales average breaks down to $300 a party. A typical party has 6 - 8 in attendance, but have had as many as 20. When I lived in TX, my sales average was higher.

My booking average is 4 + per party! I would love to hear what everyone's is too.

I wanted to add that I am always working on my sales average per party! Depends on the group I am in front of too. Forgot to mention that my reorders are $300 +a month too.

Have a great day!

Do you have any booking tricks/tips!

I know with the romance company I am with, I tried for the first time last night, a Hawaiian lei trick. Of course the lei (lay) ties in well for the romance company. It worked, I got 3 bookings. (This was only my 2nd party so I don't have much experience with how to booking )

Do you do anything special to encourage the bookings?

I have a booking basket with my calendar on a sheet of paper. The beginning of the month is in red. That means they can pick out 3 gifts from the basket. The middle of the month is in blue...that is 2 gifts from the basket and the end of month is in green...that is 1 gift.

This basket stares at them all night long! I ignore it until the close. It is loaded! There are BC products, dollar store items, etc inside.

I plant booking seeds thru out the night. "Who do you know who really could use a night out and the opportunity to relax?" Usually they can come up with 10 - 15 people without really thinking about it too much. They already have enough to have a party and that is all I ever say. I heard one call all her guests (Friday night) and tell them they are going to absolutely love it!

At the end when I ask who would like to have a party, I explain the basket. It works out very well. They all rush to calendar and the basket. Sometimes they fight over the date if it is the last one in the red area!

It is all about the experience and the benefits of being a hostess.

Wish I had a secret formula, but I don't. Bookings have always been easy for me.

I would say average about 250.00 per party, normally about 5-7 guests. I have had more up to 15, but considering the work, the sales weren't that much better, kind of prefer to keep it 6-8. Only had one party that was what I called outstanding, that was 620.00 only 7 guests!!! They should all be that goodsmileys/smiley4.gif

My bookings are not that succesfull, I usually only get 1 or 2 and have a hard time getting thos4e to stick to the first date.smileys/smiley19.gif

almost forgot I am in Northern CA -- just north of Sacramento, there are tons of BC consultants in my area.Edited by: minispasbyjo

Where are you north of Sacramento? I am from that area, Chico to be
exact. Let me clarify that. I grew up in that area, don't live there
now.

My name is Angie. I just started consulting a few months ago in Omaha,
NE. The few parties I have had, have averaged $300. I have also done ok
with outside orders, so I am hoping to get my reorder business to start
growing too. I haven't had any success with booking parties at parties
and it is hard to make them stick to the original date.

Vicki, I love your gift basket idea! When you say dollar store items,
are you talking about items not related to BC? Like from Dollar Tree or
something? I would like to know what kinds of BC products you put in
the basket.

Thanks!

Angie,

I go to Dollar Tree, Dollar General, etc., to get spa related items. They have anitem at mine that has a pumice stone, brushes and flies with a handle. It is the most popular item in the basket! I also have bath mitts, bath items like loofah sponges, and anything pedicure. We had a Dollar store move locations and I was able to stock up for $.79 an item! That was exciting to me!

BC products will be anything "retired" and sample size products. I add things so it is always interesting to dig thru.

I know what you mean about getting them to stick their date! I have 2 or 3 that are waiting until school starts in the fall because their schedules are so hectic. It is better than constantly erasing the date.

Try a booking basket and see if that helps you get more bookings at your parties.

I like the idea of the booking basket.

So just to make sure that I understand:

They book their own party and can choose something from the basket that night and that something is FREE. Right?

Hostess Coaching and limiting the reschedules/cancellations is an EXCELLENT thread topic if someone wants to start it.

I forgot to add.

I took my total ESCAPE Sales & divided it by the the # of ESCAPES that I held in April andgot $492.

My Spa@Work is more lucrative than the Spa@Home but I'm still doing well with those too.

My Spa this morning was $678, 5 people present including hostess and the hostess enrolled on my TEAM. I was there from set up to drive away for 80 minutes.

My calendar is neatly typed on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. When a guest says she wants to book, I give her the calendar. It is only the current month and the following month. When she writes her name and time on the calendar, she gets to pick something out of the basket FREE to take home that night as a thank you gift.

I aven't gotten into the spa@work yet. My sales average has gone down a little bit, but that is because of the area we live in now. My booking average keeps going up! For this month, I am averaging 7 per party.

My next party is tonight. I have been invited to a Mother/Daughter banquet to speak and demo products. Should be lots of fun!
