I truly believe that the best way to find your next team member is at
events. That being said....I am struggling with this.smileys/smiley19.gif
For those of you successful at bringing new team members
on from events, what do you think makes you successful at it? How do
you put "your story" into the show? How do your get people to ask
you for the information? Any creative ideas? I am with a
new company and would like to grow a larger local team. I just
think I am missing the boat at events.smileys/smiley18.gif What works best for you?

I am really looking forward to your answers!smileys/smiley1.gif

MJ--

This is one of the things I'll be addressing in my recruiting workshop.

Recruiting from events is very smart. But there are so many other areas in your life you are missing them.

The best tip I can give you is to right in front put the kit with a sign. All this for x amount. Make money tasting wine, or what ever your catch phrase is.

When everyone hands you their lead slip, talk. Ask questions.

In fact, my best tip is ASK QUESTIONS.

When you ask questions, you build a rapport, get to know them and can find a need. Try to avoid yes/no questions.

"Why are you interested in our product?" "Tell me about what you currently do?"

One example of a yes/no would be:
"Have you ever thought about doing something like this before or are you looking to make some extra money?" But if they say "no" you are done.

Look at people's reasons for joining a company.

Love wine and want to share it with others

Think it would be fun

money, money, money

want to get out of the house

bored

need to stimulate their mind

want the discount

like to help others
[/list]

Wow, I could go on forever about recruiting. I spoke about it at convention last year.

Anyway, in short:

Ask them!
