I'm not sure how I feel about them yet. Honestly, I am a bit of a novice in supplement knowlege. I am going to visit a couple of stores (whole foods, gnc, etc) this weekend and check out prices of some comparable higher end lines. At first, I was a bit disapointed. However, it seems that we have a vitamin store or health store popping up on almost every corner/shopping center, so someone must be buying the expensive ones to keep them all in business....I was even thinking of making up some kind of cost comparison sheet, as I also have one for skin care cost comparisons for RE9 and that has definitely helped me when the costs issue comes up as an objection....

Hi, I do not post, but I read here every day, and always appreciate your insight.
I am disappointed in the vitamin change. The individual choices were an add on item for me, for example, with the balancing cream, I was able to sell a menopausal or pre-menopausal supplement and from that, wean my client from their every day vitaminover to our brand....but at this price, and not having a choice in the selection of the supplement, I am not expecting sales from the new vitamins...... I do not believe my client base will have this need. smileys/smiley19.gif

I'm happy about the new line! I've been taking them already, this just makes things for convenient for me. If you are going out to compare cost, you first have to compare products. I'm willing to pay more for something that works than to waste money paying for something that does not.

Your just going to have to really focus on selling the package deal and highlighting auto-ship. I haven't had many clients interested in the vitamins anyways b/c they are usually taking something else. I sell alot of the get well soon though! I think the cost comparison is a great idea b/c I think the people that would be interested in the vitamins are peopletaking ones every day all ready.
I think it may be a little easier to sell the package, than to have to focus on 1 product at a time.

I'm disappointed too. If you watch the video about the new Hybrids, they say "out with the old" and show the old Bio Nut. Products. I'm disappointed because I know a lot of people who don't necessarily take vitamins every day, but would pick up a bottle of the Colon Cleanse or the Optimal Digest but didn't want any of the other vitamins. And I feel like the people I did get started on the vitamins won't be able to afford the whole package, because they didn't order all of those other things in the first place to go with the vits. And lastly, I know a lot of people who don't want to down 12 pills each day, no matter how convenient it is.

all listed on the site still. The Hybrids are just an addition. You can

don't make assumptions on what you think they will or will not do, they may just surprise you... I am burning the multi-media presentation to dvd's and will give them to my buyers who take the supplements regularly, and let them decide.

I guess since they are all listed under the "Internet Specials" page, but not really 'on sale' and listed along with all of the other closeout products, I figured they were going away. Also the line from the video that says they are doing away with the old and then show all the bottles of Bio Nut.
Is anyone sure that they are going to keep the 20% off with the NEW Autoship program?

I love the new product. I travel in my day job and it was a pain to take the supplements in the past. I think you need to look at supplements no different than you would look at RE9. It's a system and you need to take the entire package just like the RE9 is a system and you won't get the same results if you only use 2-3 or the products.
Now if they would only introduce the meal replacement bars I would be so happy.

Hey Guys! Sitting in my hotel room waiting for eeryone else to get ready so we can go home. I think once you get the new Hybrids & learn about why they are an improvement you'll love them. The way Candace & the good Doctor explained them they really are amazing. What we hae has NEVER been done before. When Candace told them what she wanted they said they couldn't b/c it had never been done. The team of experts they got together to create these itamins are amazing & they did it. Like so many other things Arbonne has brought out they are ahead of their time & in a few years other companies will be following our example. smileys/smiley1.gif

I have to join the list of the bummed. Though I do understand and appreciate why the "whole package" has tremendous benefits, I also know that it will limit the amount of customers who will purchase nutritionals from me. No matter how wonderful or what the benefits are, there are some people who ARE NOT going to pay that much or take that many pills. Period. So, those who would have at least taken a multi vitamin, now have no option from us. What a shame. Better to take a quality multi alone than take junk or nothing at all. I know I personally use the Menopause Formula right now and it is a life saver for me. Now they are taking that option away and I could seriously cry. I will have to go somewhere else for the same type of supplement. Even if it is availabe in the pack (and I don't think it is) I simply cannot afford the whole set right now. Eventually, probably, but not now. I just think taking away the ability to get them separately is a HUGE mistake. Sorry, I know others will disagree, but that is my opinion.

yeah, I am on the bummed list as well. I love the hyrids...they are awesome and the idea behind them is great! I just wish they would keep the others as well. Both of my parents use the multi-vitamins every month (for what? $50?)...but now, if they want to keep taking @rbonne's vitamins, they would have to pay over $250 a month! That's a hard thing to tell them.

How many of the "bummed" were at NTC?
I think you should reserve judgement until you learn more. I know
that I will lose some vitamin customers, but I also know that I will
gain many!! Just know that the company knows what it is
doing. They know the market and I trust them to provide us with
what the market demands.
This is going to boost my autoship business tremendously!!! I think the
reason most people get backed up on vitamins and have to stop autoship
for a month is that they don't have time to fool with all the
bottles. Also, the new autoship program is great! What a terrific
way to get people to stick with autoship for at least 6 months! And,
any product qualifies for the new incentive, not just nutritionals!!!

Hi, do you guys think if we email the company and tell them in a nice way what we think about the way we have to purchase the vitamins now and that we are going to lose customers because of it that it might help? I know I'm going to lose clients because they've already told me they only want certain vitamins back when we had the choice to get the different vitamins. I don't know if it would help or notand don't want to be negative but alsoknow there are a lot of people out there thatdon't want to take 5 or 6 vitamins at a time and can't afford the cost of it no matter how good they are. Any thoughts?

Hello all--
I was at NTC and I'm VERY bummed, as were my friends and many
random people I overheard in conversation. It's pretty much impossible
for many of us to find people who are willing to spend that much or take
that much! Most people want to take a vitamin or two, not 6 twice a day.
Please email Arbonne about this. I'm very upset that they've taken away
our choice.
While we're on being bummed, I'm not thrilled with the intelligence line--
it smells really funky. In addition, the mascara clumps on me. I LOVED
the old one and I think I'll have trouble selling this new one for $22. Still,
I love the new lip color and the foundations!! I'll try to focus on the
positive introductions!

I used the new intelligence line tonight and I used the basic line before I love the new AI it was amazing I'm trying the thermal fusion right before I go to bed since I was at my uplines house. The mascara my upline had one and it looks great she admitted it took some getting used to the new brush but it looks just as good. My husband is lactose intolerant and he used the Optimal Digest before every meal, now that he cant get the Optimal Digest by itself I dont know what he will do! I hope they bring them back individually. But again, email them and tell them your thoughts!!!

I agree, the price of gas alone has many people struggling. I know lots of people who would love to be ABLE to afford such high quality nutritionals, but we are JUST coming off of winter here in WI where heat bills were astronomical, gas is still at crazy prices, the cost of everything seems to go up every day, and most people don't have that luxury, even if they wanted it.
I'll definately be emailed Arbonne and letting them my thoughts.

I just emailed them:
Comments: I am an independant consultant and have several customers who have been buying the nutritionals in various combinations. I also regularly bought some for my family's use. I am VERY disappointed they are no longer going to be available as individual items. I feel the new hybrids are cost prohibitive and will cost me several clients. I have already had two people cancel their autoship orders due to this.
In talkingwith other consultants, I found there are many who feel this way and I decided to bring it to your attention.
I hope you will consider keeping the individual nutritional supplements for those who can't or don't want to use the all inclusive hybrid packs.
Thanks for your time!

Gosh, I didn't mean to start such a negative thread. smileys/smiley19.gifI was merely commenting on not being able to get the vitamins individually. I am totally bummed now and feel defeated before I even start.
I just signed on with Arbonne, how do you promote products when other things are so expensive? I was thinking that people such as myself who like nice things makeup etc. will still be willing to pay for it regardless of the economy.
Someone pick me up here!smileys/smiley5.gif Tell me things will be okay....

Tracy,
You didn't start a negative thread and don't be discouraged. You just stated what several of us were already thinking about the vitamins. They are awesome, it's just the packaging that's a problem.
As far as the other products, they are great too and sell themselves. Most people are like you (and me) and are willing to pay for good quality make up and skin care regardless of the economy and when they try our products will see the difference immediately.
Also, when you figure it out, the cost of the make up and skin care is about the same priceor cheaperthan a lot of other products out there because it's concentrated so it lasts longer. When you are promoting the products tell people that andstressthe A*** difference.Tell them about the incentives that we have like the 100/20 and the free product with sign up and the discount they can get when they sign up. You won't have any trouble selling the products. Like one of my friends who converted to A*** said, "I'm buying skin care products anyway so I would rather buy something that's better for me than something that's not."
You will do great!!! This board is supportive and hopefully you have a supportive upline. Look to them and look here for support, catch the vision and hang in there and you will go far!!!!!
Good luck!!!

I think there is a difference between being negative and being realistic and proactive. If we can work together to make our voices heard, and it gets something changed, then that is a positive outcome.
If not, we know we have tried. I think complaining and not doing anything about it is negative. But if we know we did what we can and things are the way they are, then at least people can't say to us "well, why don't you do something about it?"
I agree the other products are great and people will pay for quality. But paying for quality skin care that lasts 6-9 months is different than paying for quality vitamins that have to be re ordered every single month. I have already had two people cancel their autoship orders, that was a couple hundred every month I could count on for my volume. So that is frustrating. But the proactive thing to do is find replacement customers, or educate them on the other products.
I think losing the 20% on the figure 8 autoship orders I had is a bummer, too, I have already been contacted by one client about that. But I will point out it is like buy 6 months, get the 7th month free. Just a new approach!

I think the new vitamins are great. Instead of buying all the separate ones they are together. The are more convient. I went to a meeting last night and it is so much easier to remember to take my vitamins now. $129 before discount and then with the autoship and vouchers in June. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.
Although I do agree I hate losing the 20% on the figure 8.

I do have a question about the hybrids....
It says you are supposed to take one pack in the morning and one a night. Can people just take ONE pack a DAY? Do we really need 4 calcium, 2 multivitamins, etc a day? If people can just take ONE pack a day, it would last them 2 months.
Is that possible? Most people I know that were using the old stuff just take one multi, one calcium, one whatever a day anyways.
Just a thought...

I agree 100%. Feeling great and being healthier should be more important than looking great. IT SHOULD.
Most of my clients had used skin care products before switching to A***. Some also had been taking vitamins before switching to A***. The difference now is to convince them we now offer a complete system for nutrition similar to the RE line in skin care. I understand the concept, but having said that, Ialso think they should be able to select one particular item if that is all they want.
If you have someone who can only purchase select items for financial reasons and it's either skin care or vitamins, what do you think they are going to purchase? I would assume A*** did there market research, focus groups, etc., to identify there is a market for this "system approach". I will be postive and trust there is a market for the product.

It's the same as the other vitamins. My Womens1 says take twice a day, Calcium twice a day, digest take before meals, joint 3 times a day. I would think it is the same as the vitamins I have now.

I always just take my vitamin 1 time a day. I have small children, and I am lucky enough to remember to brush my teeth at night!smileys/smiley2.gif I saw a difference in my skin taking the clear advantage supp. one time a day. Not sure what you are losing taking the hybrids 1 time a day. I still can't get over 12 pills every day thoughsmileys/smiley5.gif. Let me know what market this will appeal to!

Most people are like you (and me) and are willing to pay for good quality make up and skin care regardless of the economy and when they try our products will see the difference immediately.
Like one of my friends who converted to A*** said, "I'm buying skin care products anyway so I would rather buy something that's better for me than something that's not."
Why can't this same reasoning be good for the Hybrids? Feeling great and being healthiershould bemoreimportantthan looking great.
I think we have the same reasoning as far as the hybrids being great and healthy for you, but the difference is it's $258 ($168 wholesale)for one month for husband and wife to take andfor the RE9 it's $266 ($172.90)for 6-9 months. Over a 6 month period you've spent $1,008.00 for vitamins and still only have spent $172.90 for the RE9. A*** just needs to have both options available so they are meeting everyone's needs. My clients arewilling to pay for good vitamins because they were already doing so, but just can't affordand don't want or need all those vitamins each month. So, it's not that the hybrid is a bad idea and it's not that people don't want to be healthy, it's the packaging that's the problem. There just needs to be more options available for everyone so all can take advantage of the healthy vitamins and improve both skin and body at the same time and not have to choose.
I like the idea that the post above says about making it last 2 months. That's not as bad if you do that. Here's another thought and I don't know if it would be worth it or not but you could order the hybrids (mens and womens) in a regular order and get $100/20 each month. That would give you an extra $600 products over a 6 month time period for $120.00. You would forfeit the g.c. promotion from autoshipbut end up with a lot more product in the long run and you would have to remember to order each month. I can't afford to do that at this time but it might work for some of you. Again, just a thought http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

One way to get around the prices is to sign up anyone intersted in the vitamins as a wholesale consultant and on autoship. Not wold they get the 20% off for the autoship but the addtional 35% for being the consultant.....for 55% off. Less than 1/2 price.
NTC was amazing!!!! Very uplifting! I am very excited about all of the new products. Change is a good thing!

I am SO happy to see the new packaging of the vitamins. I love the conveinence and the fact that you get it all without having to think about it. There are plenty of people out there who use a supplementation system. Like anything else, if it is important to you, you'llfit it in to your life and your budget. For those who already used the full regimen of mens or womens vitamins, its not all that much more $$.
With the new vouchure program, if hubby and wife both supplement, She can get her RE9 for $16 every 6 months ($32.00 a year for fabulous skin care, just becasue you take your vitamins!) That's a nice incentive.
It's all how you look at it!

Hi Whiten05!
I'm glad to hear you like the Intelligence line, really, I am! The reason I'm
not into it is because I really don't like the smell at all. I'm hoping it's just
me. I react very strongly to scent (I love the RE9 scent, but I can't use the
creams because they're too heavy for me.) I'll be really happy if others like
it. I dislike the scent so much, I'm almost afraid to give out samples.
Anyone else out there feel like this? Please, I'd LOVE to hear it's just me!!
Thanks!

I agree there are plenty out there on a supplement system, I just don't know where to find them!!
And I think there are more that just take a one a day. I have slowly built a regular base of people at least switching to Arbonne multi vitamin, and maybe adding the PMS,defense builder ormenopause formula (both my mom and mother in law ordered that religiously with their phytoprolief). And I have several who just take the optimal digest and they have had great results, even without taking any other ones. It was hard enough to convince them to go from their $5 drug store brand to the $18 Arbonne. It was probably close to $500 of my $2500 maintenance amount. I have already talked to two of them and they have cancelled their autoships. That bums me out.

the vitamins seem pretty costly but if people start moving towards wellness orhealthsavings accounts instead of paying out to health care companiesthe way Paul Zane Pilzer recommends and building up an account of money, they could purchase the vitamins with this money- and it would be pretax. Plus the money follows you when you change or lose your job. - similarto an IRA. If some of your clients already have this type of account then this might be a suggestion or selling point. Focus on the health- wellness aspect ofusing great vitaminsinstead of paying out tons of money later towards doctor bills, meds, etc. good luck- hope this makes a little sense.

We have an MSA (medical savings acct) and I could be wrong (its still pretty new for us) but it is my understanding that everything must be paid for with a check from that account. So if someone wanted to pay retail they could write you a check, but you would be unable to pay with a check ordering for yourself on line. It is also my understanding that you can not pay yourself back form that account. Again, I could be wrong, but that is the way it was explained to me.Edited by: sportsmom
