I would like to hear how some of you get your bookings. Even when you let them know of all the free stuff they will get and you still have trouble getting the bookings. Do you play booking games...what is your booking activity?

I am hoping someone will answer this one, I could use some more pointers, too!

Well,

I ask. smileys/smiley36.gif

OK, that sounds too easy. I think I need to do a class on this.

If I'm at a party, I make sure everyone knows how they are helping out the hostess and what the benefits are to them. Then when they check out, I ask them if they want to help out hostess holly and go on their own free shopping spree!

If I'm picking up the phone, I ask questions to find out what their needs are. Then I ask, "are you interested in having some friends over for an opportunity to play and go on a free shopping spree?"

Show them the benefits. Booking games are fun, but I usually don't play them. I ask the hostess to think about finding the booking because she benefits.

If your company is having a special, you can use it to create a sense of urgency and have them book in close.

I play the dice game.

Our company gives us the ability to purchase thank youitems. Wecan purchase any item$100 or less for only $15. So, I have the ladies roll 3 dice at the begenning when I hand them their catalogs. l tell them to remember their number. Later in my show when I talk about the hostess benifits, I offer them any piece in the catalog $100 or less for the price they rolled on the dice just for booking a show!

This is by far my best booking tool. Vary rarely do NOT get bookings from a show using this game.

A sense of urgency can be created either through a company special, a birthday or event coming up, or something you create.

"Hi Sue! It's Debbie with X,Y, Z and since you are one of my favorite customers, I wanted to let you know about this great special that only lasts 20 day! How do you like the item you bought from me at ragshop?"

"Oh! It's wonderful!"

"How would you like to be able to get more "insert promotion here", on top of free product?"

That is one way you can approach it.

The key is to practice words and make them your own. No matter how good a script is, if you don't feel good with the words and comfortable, people see through it. Be sincere, be excited, and stand up when you call them--it creates more energy in your voice.

Hope that helps,

Debbie

I love this idea also.... I might try it at my next show.

Thank you!!

I totally agree with Debbie...just ask! All they can say is no, and that's okay. I was doing a party, talking about the hostess benefits and how they increase with each booking and one of the girls piped up and said, "I want to have a party, I want to shop for free!" and I said "Great...here's your booking gift, we'll set a date when you check out." Everyone's jaw dropped when I reached in my basket and pulled out a gift (that cost me 4.00, by the way!) and handed it to her. I left it at that and then asked everyone if they wanted to book when they checked out.

Not everyone will book a party, some people hate having them and love going to them.

Just ask! smileys/smiley4.gif
