My MIL purchased the #5cool. Line Defiance makeup a while ago. Now she's ready to buy more, but wants somethingjust alittle bit darker. The #6 doesn't look any darker in the catalog & it's neutral. The # 7 is warm, soI don't know what to recommend for her. I don't do this as a business, so I don't really have a need for the samples. I know that we can return it if it's not the right color, but I would like to avoid the hassle. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

you are correct in wanting to stay in the same family, it does depend on her undertones. Is there anyone local to you that you can see their samples? If not, getting the one strip for colors 6-10 for $3 would be worth saving the hassle of returning product.

Cassandra's idea is the best idea to get the one sample strip. It
really is best to stripe the color on the client's face near the jaw
line to get a good match. The color never looks the same on facial skin
as it does in the bottle, in a picture of even on the back of their
hand. I always stripe 3 colors that are close and then choose the one
that matches best.
