I know I saw a post somewhere, I can't remember if it was here or in the yahoo groups, but it was about the scents and their effect on mood etc. Does anyone remember this? Can someone help me find it please??

Thanks,

Hi Olivia and Everyone-

This isn't from a previous thread, but here's some info I found that you all
may find interesting.

Did you know that some scents can "wake up your mind" and some will
help you sleep better? One (lavender) has even been shown to make
the part of your brain that processes math computations work more
efficiently!

-These scents will help combat the following ailments-

Depression:

Jasmine
Lavender
Lemon& nbsp;

Orange
Rose
Sandalwood
Ylang Ylang

Anxiety:
Cedarwood
Frankincense
Geranium
Lavender&nbs p;&nbs p;

Aromatherapists have developed a roster of scents with relatively
predictable effects:

Aphrodisiacs-
Jasmine, ylang ylang, patchouli

Energizers-
lemon, basil, bergamot, sweet orange, peppermint,
eucalyptus, tangerine

Hair Care-
(dry hair) cedarwood
(normal hair) lavender, ylang ylang
(oily hair) rosemary, lemongrass

PMS-
cedarwood, clary sage, fennel, geranium, nerali, Roman chamomile

Relaxation-
lavender, myrrh, cardamom, cedarwood, German chamomile, clary sage,
frankincense

Skin Care-
(all skin types) lavender, geranium, ylang ylang
(dry) rosemary, rosewood, carrot seed, sandalwood, peppermint
(oily) basil, eucalyptus, cedarwood, cypress, lemongrass, ylang
ylang, sage

Enjoy!
