I got a call today from our home office that they would like me to present at our national convention in June!

I of course am thrilled, and excited...but...nervous too! The topic they asked me to speak on is "Building a solid business through home shows" so...I am working on an outline.

Any words of wisdom from those of you who do home shows would be wonderful! ( I am posting this in the "join the discussion" folder too) I would love to have view points of why YOU think homeshows are vital to your business(if you do, that is!)

Thank you in advance for your thoughts- I would love to share them!

I spoke at convention last year and it was fun! Be sure to address all the learning styles, and have fun with it. Roll playing is actually a great way to show them how you book parties.

This is broad, do they want you to talk about booking, or the actual demo and booking at the demo? Both could be a full topic of themself!

They already have a few home show demos, so they would like me to speak about why home shows are such and important part of what we do. So, some of my topics will include...how I find home shows, how I book more from the ones I find...how to make them fun so people WANT to have them- and the benefits of a home show(1 on 1 contact, people get to see our books, get paid that night, etc)

So- I would love input on what people like about home shows- why they do them...etc..

Debbie- what was your topic ?smileys/smiley1.gifEdited by: ReadingCanBeFun

I was a co-presenter, and we did roll playing using Discovery Toys as props to introduce a new section. It was fun!
