I just had my first person call me about my samples. Gosh I was so nervous since so far I've only sold to people I know.

It was so funny though, because she thought I actually sold scented powder for vaccuuming! So she was kind of disappointed when I said they were candles, but I told her she could definitely crush the votives up like I do and use it with her vaccuum!smileys/smiley36.gif

That is too cute! Tell her for any extra fee you will pre-crush up her candles, lol.

You know? This isn't the only time i've heard of someone using the samples as a carpet fragrance! I'm kinda curious if it will clog something in the vac though. Anyone ever hada problem with this happening?

Now that's worth a chuckle! smileys/smiley36.gifsmileys/smiley36.gif

I had my own chuckle today: I decided to crush up a Coconut Macaroon votive today and make myfirst samples. I was giggling while filling the baggies as I thought if anyone was looking in my kitchen window, they would think I was packing cocaine or something! It wouldn't have looked so bad if thepowderhadn't been white!

Then my daughter walked into the kitchen and asked "What's with the parmesean cheese?"

I had to yell - "Don't Eat It!!"

This is such a FUN business! smileys/smiley2.gif

smileys/smiley36.gifWhenever I'm making samples with my Coconut Macaroon my husband always says he hopes I don't get busted!

You reminded me of another funny thing too. The other day I was getting ready to make samples of Orange Creamsicle and I had my back turned to the votive and when I turned around my 1 year old was taking a big bite out of it! I guess by the look on his face it doesn't taste as good as it smells. smileys/smiley36.gif

I use them on the carpet alot and never had a problem. It's not going to clog your vac up like chunks of dog hair!smileys/smiley2.gif

I think I am going to start doing the molds only rather than powder, because I am bit concerned about the "drug look" and these days you can't be to careful with "anthrax" dont' want to cause a commotion at the post office!! smileys/smiley5.gif

Just a little comment on putting crushed votives on your rugs as freshener. My vaccumm cleaner retailer told me never use those carpet fresheners -the fine baking soda type powder on your rugs as it can destroy the motor in vac as the materialis so fine it can get into motorparts.

He said a better way is to put the chunk in the bag itself if you have a bag to freshen the air that comes out of machine.

If you are putting the crushed votives on your carpet you might want to call a vaccumm shop & talk to an expert about it. Candle material can also melt inside the machine & possibly damage motor. Check it out with expert first!!!!
