A great post from Nondy our knowledgeable esthetician! Just passing it on! Keep educating Nondy and thanks for always keeping it real!

"I'm on the "what really works" train and for me...
What it does in less than 10 minutes takes most products weeks to do!" Ummmm, hate to break it to you, but this is not true. Temporary skin changes can be made with something as simple as egg whites, or acacia, but real skin care contains NO quick, temporary "miracle fixes".

These are the words of a marketer, not someone who is well educated in skin care. But then this IS a marketing site, so statements like this are common.

REAL, lasting skin changes must take place over weeks and months. Know what single thing I would take for skin care if I could only take ONE to the moon? Vitamin A. Retinoic acid, Renova, etc, would be examples of a Vitamin A derivative. Why? Vitamin A, in the form of retinol, appears to increase the production of certain skin components, namely procollagen and gycosaminoglycan. These compounds retain water and help form new skin cells.

Every woman should use two things (at least!) daily. Sunscreen and Vitamin A (retinol)...

Me too and you're welcome!

If it's one person who knows all about SKIN it's Nondy! ( Sally too)
It's their career!

TRUE healthy skin takes TIME.

There are many wonderful "immediate results" lift type products that work great and that have that WOW factor. We have one and before and after pics will show a gal with wrinkles gone, saggy chin pulled, baggy eyes gone, tiny pores and more in 20 minutes but we also educate that TRUE healthy skin DEEP DOWN takes time!
We have such a line that will dramatically reverse the aging process over time.
Many good skin care companies have the same.

Deb just keeping it real.

I appreciate your kind words ladies. I just get the urge to correct information that is commonly given out that is inaccurate, hype-driven drivel.... I know it is easy to get all excited about a product/line, and go way overboard in its promotion. Not necessary, IMO.

I wish everyone well in business, let's just make sure to make statements that we will not have to backpedal on later down the road...

Deb and Nondy,

The quote you have stated above about "it working in 10 minutes" is from another wahmer who is commenting on her experience with the Bellamora product.

I agree that true skin health takes time....but it is also possible to provide fast results in appearance of wrinkles, appearance of brightness and "dewi-ness" of complexion....right?

I mean...you can have both right....you can have a product in the line that gives a fast boost to appearance as well as use other products in the line that contribute to overall skin health, right?

I think what is happening here is that Bellamora reps are excited about the instant results in appearance and feel they receive from the affordable product line.

None of us would disagree with the idea that true skin health takes time to develop.

I can absolutely verify that for me the Bellamora does in minutes appearance-wise what some other products have taken months to do for me (and even after months haven't seen those kind of results).

Was this another post thread that was meant to be generic? If so I wouldn't take specific comments from a Bellamora rep and then make counterarguments against them. That is not generic even if it is dressed up that way.

I decided to delete this response. Not necessary.

I think the whole thread should be deleted.....unless the wahmer who made the "works in 10 minutes" statement gave her permission for her testimonial to be dissected here.

I never seen the reply and have no clue who made it.
I merely posted Nondy's post but edited out the first part.
If it's one thing Nondy knows about it's skin, I trust her "credentials" and expertise and I RESPECT what she has to say.

Again...another thread turns "personal" It's getting old.

So I'm done posting.

Have a great week everyone! :)

""Temporary skin changes can be made with something as simple as egg whites, or acacia, but real skin care contains NO quick, temporary "miracle fixes".""

I agree with this statement but I will say that when you actually see for yourself what happens with this product, you will understand why everyone is excited about this. It most definitely goes beyond what any other product I've ever tried before has done! You do see results within 10 minutes but the continued use is really where it is at.

Again, you simply need to try it for yourself to understand what people are talking about. Talk is talk but seeing is believing! ;)

I appreciate your attitude, Vickie! I really do get paid to be very skeptical. I have to be in professional skin care working with plastic surgeons, so when I see statements like this, I feel compelled to chime in, since this is my expertise.

Years ago I went to a professional skin care show. At one of the booths, a gal waylaid me, and started rubbing this oily cream with tiny metal beads in to my arm. She then ran a magnet (I kid you NOT!) over my arm picking up those metal beads. She then asked what I thought. I asked her what benefit this was supposed to be to my skin. Instead of answering my question, she asked "But how does your skin FEEL?" My response was "Oily." "But doesn't your skin feel supple and moisturized?" My response, "No, just oily." This was apparently not what she was looking for, so she turned to another gal. I shrugged and walked away. Like I was supposed to be impressed with a first-grade science experiment?! Gimme a break!

Now maybe this will turn out to be a decent skin care line, but from what I have seen of the actual ingredient deck, I am sadly disappointed, and would not put this on my skin. I ran this ingredient deck across a few professional folks I know (without names of product or company), and each one agreed with me, which in a way confirms my thoughts. If there is any way the distributor force can get a message to those in charge, tell them to AT LEAST put more shea butter and green tea than preservatives and fragrance. If you saw any product you were NOT promoting that had more fragrance and preservatives than skin beneficial ingredients, you would feel the same way I do, would be my guess.

In any case, I sincerely do wish you well,

Hey USP (and Deb)....

I have to admit, I've had so much going on in the home front (drama from daughter - that never ends), taking care of the grandbabe (a joy - but it's a daily time drain, too), and I'm seriously looking into moving my business into a strip mall here in my town (which is eating up waaaaaaaay too much of my time this month!)... all alongside doing my normal clients... oh man.... I think I need a nap.... lol.......

Anyway... Take all of this and combine it with the super-crazy-hype (JMO) going around, even I am starting to get annoyed with direct sales people. Really annoyed. Annoyed to the point that I'm trying to decide if I want to put the effort into really building again.

I'm even thinking of putting together a different MLM thing (based upon the way these companies are launching) that has nothing to do with skin care. Seems there is more potential is just being an MLM money machine instead of having any real meat behind the sizzle of the sale these days.

I think of the thousands of people (so they say) that are being approached to join based upon an income/sales model (instead of being product driven in reality)... and no wonder so many typical prospects (and don't get me started on professionals!) on the street are turned off by direct sales companies.

Sincerely, I do want to see people in direct sales do well. I really do. BUT... it's very hard to sit back and watch some of what's going down these days.
