I have a chance to be in a job fair and was wondering if any of you have had any experience w/this. I'm sure people will not be coming to a job fair to look for something like our company but maybe there will be a husband there who has a wife that stays at home who may be interested. What do you all think and if it is a good idea what should I have w/me?

Hi Heather!

I did a job fair several months ago, and had sooo many people interested! I set up appointments right and left, even with guys!! Then I met with them each one-on-one, and they all seemed really excited, but then in the end theyeach decided not to do the business. I started out thinking it had been a big waste of time, but I think it was actually really good practice for me in talking to people and letting them know about the opportunity, and it probably isn't the best idea for someone who's unemployed to do @rbonne and try to rely on that alone, anyway - it does take some investment in samples and catalogs, at least, and some time to build up the income, so who knows, maybe when they start making money regularly they'll call me back and want to sign up! :)

It was fun, though - I hadthat big poster with the aloe vera plant on it on my table, and that drew alot of attention and comments, and then I had prospecting folders with catalogs, samples, my card, EOAs, and opportunity info. I also had a sign-up sheet for people who took a folder to sign up for an appointment, and I had my RE9 set on display. Oh - I also put out a bowl of candy for fun! :) It was actually really funny, because they put my table across the walkway from a Mary Kay table, so we had a friendly rivalry going on the whole time...actually one of the girls over there seemed really impressed with @rbonne's products! :) I'd do it again if I weren't teaching part-time now, but as it is I just don't have the time. If there's one over the summer I might try again, though! :) I'd go for it - at least it will give you practice, and the more no's you get, the closer you get to a yes! :)
