I've noticed that many people's signatures send people directly to
their company website rather than one they've made themselves.
Do you tend to get better results this way?
Just wondering why some folks have chosen to do it the way they do...

I prefer to send them to my own personal website with the links to corporate. The reason I do this is in the hopes they will actually take the time and review the various pages I have on my site and become more interested - and eventually go to corporate to see more details.

Hi Becky~
I currently use the corp site! I am not website savvy so have to use what is available to me. I did give a try but it just made me crazy. If I do try it again, I will go with Wahmdrive. com or Internetbasedfamily.com. This way all I have to do it type in the content! I do, however, think personal site get more traffic!
Many Blessings,
Natalie

Thank you, Sandy and Natalie...You'd be surprised at the number of
people that just point to the corporate site, the page that shows the
two flags.
Since there are so many that do this, I was just wondering if it
brought them more traffic doing it that way or not because I thought
that if you made your own page, you'd have better page rank, etc.
I might be wrong, but I think I've even noticed some of the more "well
known" distributors just pointing right to the corporate site.
That's what made me question if it was a better approach.
It seems as if, unless you love designing web pages, if you get pretty
much EQUAL traffic/business just by pointing to the corporate site,
it's sort of a waste of time banging your head against the wall trying
to come up with your own site. Does this sound right, or am I way off?

I created my own site, but I'm also a web designer. My site has only been live for about a month, so I can't say whether it is better, but I feel that presenting the image that you are a professional company is better than just linking to a site with your name on the top. Not that there's anything wrong with going this route if you don't have the web skills to create your own site or pay to have one made for you.
