So my friend was signed as a consultant the 3rd of March of so. I was signed, under her as her BB the 6th of March. Our upline never really told us how you have to have a certain amount of volume untilat least 2-3 weeks after we signed.I went onvacation fora week at theend of March and still didn't know how important it was.
My friend sold a few sets the first month. I bought myself one. Now those are 'erased' because that is all we sold for the first month. Now, in the second month we have to have $2500.00 in sales by the 31st, and then $3500 the next monthyWe just got our samples last week.
I am pissed because I would have ordered samples, business tools the day I signed up if I knew about the whole volume thing..and how I should start sharing the products asap. I don't know if I can catch up. My volume counts as my friends, so she will be fine. But how am I to sell $2500 in 20 days????
Is there a way to be able to 'start over'?
What if i only sell $1500 this first month..can I try for $4500 the second?

2,500 is not a big deal... that's 3-4 classes/presentations/groups... or 10 anti aging sets... for 20 days that is VERY doable. There's no need to start over, if you are worried about 2,500 in 20 days, then how would you have handled needing 5,000 in 30 days?smileys/smiley2.gif Nothing different...

I'm not sure if we are allowed to do this, but I know people do, so please don't shoot the messenger! Whatever your friend sells she can place under your ID number, you'll get credit for it and she still willtoo because she gets credit for everything under you. Does that make sense?

You can start qualifications in any month that you have $2500 in volume. You can then finish in 2 months with $6000 over the 2 months or in 3 months with $7500 over the 3 months. During that time you must place at least $1000 under your ID#. The $1000 doesn't have to necessarily be your purchases, it can also be orders you have taken from others.

Also..Samples and Business Aids do not count for retail volume, just actual product. So if you are building your business using samples that wouldn't have helped you. You can totally do it, just have to get out there and share!

metoo,
if they have the same warm market, now would be the time for the first friend to *let* the second one make the sales to them, then they both would benefit, but it wouldn't necessarily be against policy or whatever. If the first girl is selling to her aunt patty out of town that the second girl doesn't know, and putting that in under the second girl, then that isn't really right. But if they have a pool of mutual friends I don't see it as bad to let the second girl get the sales. The first girl will still need at least $1000 under her also. You just have to be careful when 'sharing' sales like that, to make sure it doesn't become the bad kind of stacking.

Hmmm..So if I started March 6th, I don't necessarily HAVE to try to be
a DM within the first 2-3 months after that? So if I don't have
get $2500 in sales this month, or even next. I can try for June
even as long as I get the $2500 I can try for the $3500 the next month?
My upline made it seem like if you didn't get the $2500 this month (my
second) and then $3500 the next month (my third month) that was
basically it..no second chances. YOu can't ever make it to DM
after that.
I ask this because I saw on another board that someone took 5 months to be DM...so obviously that rule doesn't apply.

Yes, you are correct. ANY month you want to shoot for first step district with $2500 in sales, you can! It's totally up to you when you are ready to jump in and build your business! And, if you didn't quite make $2500 one month, you can just try again the next!
Shoot for building momentum, getting lots of bookings at your events, and following up with clients so that you can build a strong base of reorders as well. Remember, if you are doing parties you are going to have some expenses....catalogs, hostess gift, maybe favors, demo products, etc, but the profit from clientreorders is yours free and clear and will boost your volume without lots of effort.

You can try to do DM whenever you feel like it . I started before they even had the $1000 start month thing, so it was never an option. I was just a personal use buyer for about 8 months, then did a few parties. Then I realized if I concentrated my efforts to get ALL the parties in one month, I could make it to DM maybe. So I did, and once I started, I did $3501 my first month and a little more than $2500 my second month. and that was after 10 months of being a consultant.
Good luck!
Good luck!

You can do it whenever you want to do it.
The one thing to keep in mind is that you will not be paid override on your personal sales until you become a DM. AND, you will only be paid override on your personally sponsored consultants sales in that same month. That is why there is always a push to get to DM.

WHEW! Now I feel SO much better! I was so worried that if I
didn't get 10 people to buy a kit in three weeks that was it for me! I
will let my friend know too..
We gave a bunch of samples to our friends and family and they keep
procrastinating about trying the samples. We have been almost
annoyting them to try..now we don't have to! It may be better for me to
do all of my buying after the first when everyone has tried my samples
and looked at the catalogs!
My team doesn't do parties or presentations, just sharing products
etc. Do you think this is a good plan. Have any of you done
conventions and gotten a booth?
