HI all I need some specific advice and general encouragement!
I posted here a couple months ago about a health fair I was doing. It was fun, we sold very little the actual day, but got lots of sign ups for follow up. Well, I totally dropped the ball as I am homeschooling and we had proficiency tests, etc and my husband was out of town every weekend. Plus I didn't hve enough samples or catalogs. I finally got the catalogs, but the girl I went in with the samples to get them cheaper hasn't gotten them to me yet. I am getting them on Tuesday.
So here is the specific question:
Is it too late to try to follow up with these people? The health fair was Feb. 11.Should I just send them a postcard with a special offer? I don't want to spend a ton on postage to send catalogs to people who will probably toss them. But these catalgos are also going to be outdated soon, so I might as well get rid of them. OR call to touch base? What should I say? I need a script, LOL!
I have another nurses job fair type thing at the end of the month. But If I am too much of a wimp to follow up, why bother? I need to get moving, but I can just not get the determination or motivation. the phone weighs 100 pounds.
Yet, my"WHY" is stronger than ever. I want to move!
I am going to look at some new houses today in a better school district. I am not wanting to continue the homeschooling as my third child is starting kindergarten next year and I will have a 2 year old at home as well. I just cannot juggle all the different levels of need, and don't want to make myself crazy trying. We live in a horrible school district. We can't afford private. Plus we are in a 3 bedroom now with 4 kids, and the 'baby' who is almost 2 is still in our bedroom in his crib! AARGH! we need more room. My husband works at our church in full time ministry. Not a huge salary if you can imagine. If I can make even $600 a month, we could afford a new place and he can stay at his job that he likes, though it pays crappy. HE doesn't want to go back to corporate.I know that is totally doable. I am just scared...
my sponsor dropped out and my best BB is stopping as well, she is moving across the country, and may start up again after that. So I really feel like I am on my own. But "if it's to be, it's up to me"
I just need some encouragement and advice now.thanks for letting me ramble!

anet,
If your "why"is strong enough, then you will find a way to make this work. Everytime I call and follow up, I always tell meyself that the peoplewho are supposed to be on my team will join me. If not, then it was not to be YET.
I think you should follow up. Maybe they are waiting for you to call and give thema little push to change their lives. They have had enough time to ponder, so now is the time. Call, you have nothing to lose. Also, if you don't call maybe someone else will. This is your business, and do not let a few "no" replies hinder your ability torun a successful business.
As for your husband, I believe you know where he needs to be. If you didn't you most likely would not be writing this or even doing the business. Just the fact that you took the time to ask for help here is a strong indicator that you want to be proactive and help your family.
Your "why" will be strong enough to really rally BB's. Build your team from your heart, and success will follow. You want people on your team who NEED this business. Call them. It's a number's game. For every10 people you talk to, 1 will do the business. You are already a EDM, so you can't be far from area. Make this the month to do it. Good luck, and feel free to PM me or contct me at anytime. We all need motivation sometimessmileys/smiley1.gif

Go for it Anet. Call them! Just say something like "I met you at the health fair a few months back, and you seemed really interested in X" or something like that. If you get even a few apointments, ot would be worth it! I wouldn't bother with the postcard thing UNLESS you plan to call as well. If you mail the postcards, you could follow up with calls a few days later toask if they received it, and are they interested in the offer, etc.
You'll do great!

Call them! Call Them! Call them! smileys/smiley2.gif
You will never know if there was a BB in that stack! So Smile and pick up the phone. The more you do it the lighter the lift will be...LOL Your 100 pound phone will feel like a .00000001 pound, but have $$$ with it.
Find another friend and do it together make a game out of it, have fun!smileys/smiley36.gif
You can even have a 1-1 information party. I have found these work well. They get infor and pampered with the product.
as far ahome school goes, my hats off to you! My mom HS my sisters and boy-o-boy is that hard. I do wish you luck! smileys/smiley1.gif
