Greetings,
Gold Canyon sells two types of warmers; we have warmers that warm with a single tealight placed under the bowl and we also have electric warmers that plug in the wall and have a timer you can set for 4, 8 or 12 hours.
I know with Mia Bella some people take pieces of votive candles and put them in the 'bowl' at the top of the warmer, (this is what BarbB is referring to) ~ I'm not sure if this is what you mean? (or do you mean a votive to 'warm' the bowl?) If the latter, it's usually tealights used with flame warmers as they are smaller and for flame to warm a warmer the flame needs to be at least 2 inches from the boil so it 'warms' and not 'boils' the oil or wax being used.
Usually people use warming oils or wax melts with wax warmers as they have a much higher percentage of fragrance. A votive candle will have a lower percentage of aroma since they are manufactured to work with a wick ~ you'll get much more fragrance in a non-wicked product when used in a warmer.
For our electric warmers we also have our Scent Pods where the wax is contained in the pod, you simply remove the lid, place on the warmer and warm. If you want to chance scents, simply remove the pod, put on the lid and place on a new fragrance. No scooping, scraping, pouring out hot liquid wax or mess!
(AND for our electric pods we now have bowls too where you can use oils or fragrance chips/melts as well so they serve our products as well as wax products from other companies as well)

i am looking for a warmer that will hold my mia bella (unscented) votives in the glass holder at the bottom so the flame will warm the wax tart in the top. the only thing i cam find close to it is a hanging tart warmer from Yankee candle. and im not sure if that will even work as i have not seen it in person only online.

I just went to Yankee and took a peek at those, cute stuff! They do all show a very small candle compartment that appears they need to use tealights. Plus the distance from the bowl to the candle area is small... I'd not risk a votive because the flame will be way to close to the hanging bowl, especially since Mia Bella votives are a bit larger at 2.5 oz than the standard 1.75 oz votive which is more compact in size.
Like I noted above the flame should be at least 2 inches from the bottom of the bowl for safety. If the flame is closer, this can make the liquid wax too hot reaching what is called 'flash' point ~ this is the temp when the fragrance oils in the wax becomes combustible and can burst into flame.
Some fragrances have a flash point as low as 120 degrees which can be very dangerous as the entire liquid wax could burst into flame!
When I was with Mia Bella I bought tealights from other companies for my tealight holders and tealight wax warmers since Mia Bella did not have tealights available :)
