Hello,
just wondering about the best way to reach the college girls.BC is very new to my area....One college i went to is going to let me put up fliers.they would like to have some type of spa monthly for students of the month...
Do the college girls do as well?I mean as far as being serious about the business ?Would trying to pursue that really be worth it?What would be a way to generate interest?Surely tho a lot of them would need money.Any ideas would be appreciated....
Thanks,

I can only tellyou from personal experience....that is I signed up one young woman who was in jr. college at her mothers insistence.......she used and sold to her family, even qualified at Beauti U.......but has since dropped. She was just way to busy to even get a good start on the business. So I am sure it really depends on the individual. There is one young woman in our unit that started last year while she was still in High School. She is doing okay.

I am allowed to distribute fliers to all the organizations within the college here. That is awesome that they offered you to do a monthly spa for the students!

I have been so busy with spa parties here there and everywhere that I haven't actually gotten them done. There never seems to be enough hours in the day! There are so many places I haven't gotten to yet.

As far as college students are concerned: Do not judge! Thereare some veryyoung business minded women out there that are great consultants! Also, there are older women going back toschool too.

I definitely think it would be worth it! School is almost out for the summer, but Iplan on getting aflyer to the Sororities this next week.

If you are allowed to do themonthly spa for students, that is a great way toadvertise.Have a booking incentivefor themso they will fill your calendar.

I will think more about the subject and post more later!

I know what you mean about college days being long over....yikes! It is my 25th class reunion this year from high school.

Check to see if they have a career day where you can set up a booth. Not sure if they are over for the spring or not. Reminds me, I need to check! Also, see if you can get in touch with a sorority or2and offer graduation spa parties/makeup if you feel comfortable.

Another great place to find college age women is your local coffee place like Starbucks! We have several around the college. My friend and I talk business and some will ask what I do. I also take local potential recruits to places where the college kids hang out.

I am just starting to get into this too. Trying to brainstorm for all who are interested!

I will continue to brainstorm and let you know what I come up with...it is getting late here!

Shelley,

I would recommend calling the college and checking on any Health Fairs( which are normally free) and Job Fairs that you could sign up for and get contacts.

Their is even a school near me that is having a Merchants Fair.

I have heard that if you recruit a girl in college, that you want to teach her to focus on Spas for working women. As a college student years ago, I know that I was broke and I would of been a great recruit, but not a client.

Good luck to you, some schools will allow you to post flyers on their boards. Contacting a sorority about a Spa is s a good way to get your foot in the door.

Also, ask about Staff Health Fairs as well, you could gain a lot of great clients.

Good Luck, Tess
