Hey ladies (and gentlemen)!! Although this is my very first post on the board, I've been reading the board for several months. I finally decided to start making soy candles and have gotten TONS of advice from reading your posts! Many thanks go out to you all!! I order all of my products from www.bittercreek.com (http://www.bittercreek.com/) and they've been great, but I did come across a problem ... some of the dye chips that I ordered from there don't seem to want to melt in my wax. I thought maybe it was because the wax wasn't hot enough, but I can't get the wax over 175 degrees w/the soy wax ... so I'm not sure if I can use a different type of dye or if that's the only dye that I'm able to use w/the soy candles. I shall be greatful for all tips and advice that anyone has!

Bittercreek has a lot of great stuff, but I really like Lone Star's concentrated liquid dyes.www.lonestarcandlesupply.com (http://www.lonestarcandlesupply.com) They stain EVERTHING they touch, but they color my soy wax really nice. You justhave to stir, stir, stir the liquid dye to make sure it blends well. Bittercreek may have concentrated liquid dyes, too (I'm not sure). I've used store bought dye blocks and they have been a hassle for me, trying to get them to melt completly. I wonder - Can you melt the dye chips in a separate pot and then pour it into the wax??
