"A Virtual Assistant (typically abbreviated to VA, also called a virtual office assistant) is an entrepreneur who provides professional administrative, technical, or creative (social) assistance to clients from a home office."
These days VA, or Online Professional, are used to describe online business owners who specialize in everything from general admin work, to web design, to social marketing specialists, to online business managers and everything in between.
The field has grown exponentially since I started my business 3 years ago.

I like to say that anything an assistant/secretary can do for someone "in" the office, I can do for them only by working remotely from home.

Working at home with your PC. It's more on telecommuting and you can save gas - that's the benefit I love most about it.

virtual assistant is like a secretary , you do different kind of jobs depending on your employer .you should be good at microsoft office and the likes. you are a secretary home based worker =)
