I have not but feel badly that you've had no response. You would need to check with your State to see what you need. I would try starting with a search specifically for that.
Good luck!

It really depends on what state you live in. For example in GA the child has a voice at the age of 14. How old is your step son? Has he expressed an interest in wanting to live with you guys? Are there problems at his mother's house? Are his grades suffering? You are welcome to email we directly if you would like, but if you answer these few quesions I may be of more assistance to you. What state do you live in?
Good luck. When you venture into this world it his hard and some times very frustrating.

Being a Dad that has been fighting a custody battle for four years it is a up hill battle when it comes to the unfair courts. The courts are in favor of the mom's which I do understand but not when its not in the best interest of the kids. I could go on and on but if there is not a real big reason for you to have custody save your money and buy your stepson a education. I hope I'm not disappointing you by telling you this but I had every statistic right from the states websites saying the math and reading is 20% better in my school district and I still live in the marital home and I didn't get custody. I luckily got the kids 4 nights a week every week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday).
I get the kids in a fun activity but she will never bring the kids on her days, she has stopped my daughter from being in cheer-leading, dance, swimming, karate and many other things. The sad part is she uses her eczema saying these activities are causing it, but the 8 doctors say it has nothing to do with it and that she needs the exercise I can go on and on.
The courts don't care about all this and you will probably be throwing big money down the drain as most court systems are mommy orientated.
Is there a significant reason to change the custody arrangement?
