Hi Everybody!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif
I love the itemsthat bothCelebrations and Home and Garden Partysell. I already talked to a consultant for both companies, but having a hard time deciding which one wouldsell better.
I don't plan on doing home parties, but individual orders, catalog parties, and maybe fundraisers. HGP would probably be better for fundraisers.I dolike that Celebrations ships ordersdirectlyto the customers, though.
Well, anyhow I was just wonderingwhich one do you like best?
I think their both great companies!
Thank you,
Sandra

I chose home and garden because the company is more well known in my area. Celebrations you would have to work to promote it however I do like their products and there might be a more open market for it if you have a lot of HGP reps already in your area.

I'm not a "buy stuff to decorate my home" person, but I do buy from Celebrations, so I think you have a broder market. However, if you want to do more home decorating, HGP will allow you to go into others home and decorate.
Look at your "what" you want to accomplish, and see how each biz compares to your "what" and your "why", as well as your goal. smileys/smiley2.gif
Best of luck!

I am not a rep for either one, but as a customer I prefer Celebrations!! I have checked out both websites before and I have a list of Celebrations stuff a mile long that I would buy. The list for HGP is quite a bit smaller and those items can be found with other Wahm businesses. I think Celebrations has a more unique product line that isn't offered with other companies.

Remember with Home and Garden there are ALOT of consultant "fees". So although you can earan "40%"....after the fees, it's closer to 30%.
I voted for Celebrations. Thecaty is just too big with HGP and I think that overwhelms people so they just end up getting one or twon things.

Christy...I was VERY acurate. I was a Rep. I think you are leaving off the other fees. Though I don't blame you. smileys/smiley36.gif

Christy just listed the show fee because if there were no bookings or half-price items taken she would not incur additional fees. I also feel that if my hostess has helped me earn $140 (based on $350 show average), the $6 tax deductible cost is worth it. The fee for booking credits of $5 are very reasonable when you consider it has added additional income from the new show sales. Even on a $100 book or inhome show I still make 32% after tax deductible fees, which was more than I made with the previous party plan that I was a representative for.
Please don't make it sound like HGP has something to hide from potential consultants, because I don't believe they do. When HGP started, they looked at alot of other programs, did research and found out likes and dislikes of other representatives and their party plans to determine the program we use. It can't be all bad because except for a change to the show fee from $5 to $7 about 6 years ago. I wish you the best with your new company

Hi! I want to say thank you to everyone for taking the time to vote on this poll. I can't believe it's a tie! I guess I was hoping one of them would of been far ahead, so I could of said that's the one. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifLike I said before, I know their both great companies!
So, I'm still trying to decide!
Thanks again!
Thank you,
Sandra

Home & Garden Party is such a great SOUND company. I know nothing about the other, don't get me wrong. I was a rep for HGP. Love their items to this day. Just be choosy about your upline. smileys/smiley2.gif I do know of a great upline if you are still searching.smileys/smiley36.gif

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted you to know that I decided that I'm going to sign up with Celebrations by Lillian Vernon.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif I just love their items and the idea of being able to get some of it personalized. Also, I like that theorders get shipped directly to the customers. I'm getting excited just talking about it!
I found out that their having a sign up special right now, that if you sign up with a friend, each of you get the starter kit for $100. There's more you get, but I don't want to look like I'm advertising.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
Anyhow, I justhave to find a friend now!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif Even if I don't I'm still going to sign up.
Thank you for your time!
Thanks,
Sandra

Hi Sandra! Have you found a friend to join with you yet? I'm in "discussions" with my husband right now about signing up... maybe (IF I can get him to agree) I could sign up with you and we could both take advantage of that special?
