I found the ad below on Craigslist and am curious to know if anyone has heard anything about this company?

We are looking for energetic, smart, and fun-loving individuals who want to bring home a decent paycheck without ever leaving your house! Pay can start anywhere around $8/hr and can go up to $15/hr before any sort of incentives. Over this past weekend there was a crazy $10/hr EXTRA incentive due to such a shortfall.

You will be paid as an independent contractor. You will NOT be an employee. You need a computer with a wired high-speed internet connection and a landline phone line. You need to pass initial certification with our partner company before we can accept you with Spoland Solutions. You need to pass a background AND drug test as well before full certification.

This is a legitimate work at home opportunity. This is NOT a get rich quick scheme. This is the type of job you would expect inside a brick and mortar call center with similar pay, except you are doing this from home. If you are expecting a get rich quick scheme, please don't bother contacting us.

I am looking for reps to sign up and pass the initial certification process right now and the next training classes should starting in October. Training is unpaid. It is 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 4 weeks. After the initial 4 week training, you can take phone calls while completing your final 3 weeks of training. This is the worst part of the whole deal and I'll fully admit that. But once it’s all said and done, it's plenty worth it! I work around 60 hours a week and bring home about $1600-1700 twice a month. That’s pretty good for never leaving my house.

Hmmm, that's an aweful long training period to not be paid. I'll wait until someone else replies but I would approach with caution.

I have never heard of them and I have been doing this work from home thing for a long time (since 2003).

Yeah, I've been around for quite some time too and never heard of them either. I think whoever applies for this job may want to proceed with caution because I do notice a couple of red flags that would scare me away from applying.

Yes, our partner site is Arise. As most of you may know, Arise only works directly with other businesses. Some people don't mind getting their business license and contracting directly through them. Other people prefer to work under someone else (a VSC) and contract that way. We are based in Washington and Spoland Spolutions is a legitimate company. Is any chat lines open for hire?

At this time, there is no chat lines open. There are a few customer service phone jobs, and a few sales phone jobs. It's been a month or two since I have seen any chat openings so I would imagine there should be some openings soon. If I see anything, I will post something on here! :)

What are the training hours?? Days...afternoons...evenings??

I have been asked by Arise to add 30+ reps/ACPs to my VSC/Company for this ONE client. This is a major online retailer and we are looking for Customer Service reps. Reps NEED to be located in the following states: OR, VT, NH, KS, KY, ND, NY, WA.

For all NEW Arise ACPs: We will compensate you for half of your ACP101 fee and half of your certification fee after you have serviced the client for 120 days.

Training is expected to start closer to the end of July. You will need to complete all steps AND complete ACP101 within 3 weeks, we would prefer within 1 week though. If you have any questions, we are always here to assist you throughout the process.

This is an OLD thread I started, very old. I have decided to add Arise to the services I offer on my financial services site.

So far, I am really enjoying the work and the opportunity even though, I am not a huge fan of phone work. This is really no pressure.

I do have my own VSC and have recently been granted SVSC status. I promised to update everyone on what I found out.
