smileys/smiley1.gifYes, it's me again and on this board to get more imput from other reps on how they run the BC business. I'm going to go to my first unit meeting tonight, meet other local reps. Get ideas...

The local mgr is also coming by to meet me tommorrow night and introduce me to more of BC's product line ... I can't wait to try some of them and learn more about this exciting company!

I will also be attending one of her spa's she is holding this week as I have NEVER been to one and want to see what they are all about.

I have been doing alot of research online to make sure that BC is the company for me and I keep coming back to this one out of the othersI've looked at. This one just feels right to me.

I am trying to figure out what is the best way to introduce others to mynew business. I think I'll tell them that I've got a new business in addition tobeinga Realtor, and what it is is that I own my own mobile spa business called BCwhere I go to peoples homes & businesses for the purpose of giving other pampering time just for them. Tell them it relieves stress, relaxes them and gives them some girl time with friends they have been meaning to hook up with for some time now, but has just been too busy!

Then I can explain thatI can do the in home spa as a group thing or if they would prefer, do it in the privacy of their home.

What do ya'll think of this?I want to approach people without it sounding like this is one of those "party" things becauseI know people right off the bat will thinkI don't want to do that...I don't have time.

What approaches or words that you have used to get your foot in the door?

I think if I can convince people to just giveme the time, they will benefit from it so much! (As well as me! smileys/smiley2.gif)

I would like to also do the workplace thing without it sounding like a party. I know we say no obligation and we don't want to make it sound like we are selling anything, but rather teaching people how to manage everyday criseses better and to live more healthier without all the stress we face every day.

Now, for those people that won't let me come by or can't come to a spa, do you give them samples to try? Would they see the greatness of the products the same way this way? I would give them to them and promise them to use them within the next two nights (or 3) and then call them to see their response. This way, they know I'm going to follow up so I'm thinking they would feel obligated to try and will do it. Then once they try, I'm hoping they can't live w/o it! smileys/smiley1.gif

I also had to overcome the thoughts of people here thinking well, why would she do this in addition to her real estate business? I was afraid they would think that maybe I wasn't doing so well in real estate and had to take another job. THAT IS NOT THE CASE! I am smart enough to know that real estate is good and I've been doing it for 14 years, but I do not want to do it the rest of my life AND when I quit doing it...the bucks stop coming. With BC, I can build a team and even if I do do spas, I can still receive earnings on what my team sales are...

If anyone asks me why I do BC, I'm just going to tell them that I love the company, the products are the best and that is why I HAD to be a part of it....they are that good!

Gosh, you can tell I'm rambling today. Not even in this yet, but I have been doing my homework.

Question. They are doing national promotion (advertising) for BC aren't they to help become BCa household name?

For those of you wondering, the reason I haven't joined yet is that we are moving from AL to GA. We moved to AL 2 years ago, got tired of the hurricanes and are moving back to GA where we sold real estate for 12 years, so it's not hard starting over. We had a client base B4 leaving, but it does take time to build your listing inventory back. My hubby is a Realtor too, so this is our only source of income...so this is a #1 priority first, before starting anything else.

We will have everything completely moved out of our house in AL and into our new house the week after Easter. After getting all this done and settled in, I do want to start this before April ends so I can get the $99 sign up special.

I want to thank ALL of ya'll for your responses and comments and help while I'm getting all my ducks in a row! I hope we can build a lasting friendship on this board for years to come!

Andrea,

In May, A magazine called Empowered Women will devote the whole edition to BeautiControl! This magazine will feature articles from consultants, talk about the spa industry, etc. It will also have a recruiting DVD included! This will help us get recognized on a national level.

In my opinion, you have all the right verbage! We do offer a service that provides women the opportunity to destress and learn how to relax. I always explain it that the day spa comes to them instead of just being another party that eveyone feels obligated to attend!

There are quite a few of us who do give out samples to try. I will try to find the thread for you on samples in little pill boxes or something like that. Once I find it, I will send it to you.

These are exciting times! Our company is seeing record growth and we are so happy to have you join us!

Thanks Vicki!

I think this will be an awesome breakthrough for BC. Someone just emailed me about this right B4 you did, I just hope I can get a copy of it.

Does the company give you leads if people inquire in the area that you are in? How do they do this?

Also, since I haven't been to a party and you pamper guests feet...do you as the consultant have to rub it on their feet or do they? I was wondering, because someone may really have grungy feet that I do NOT want to touch!

Andrea,

I never touch people's feet! I guess it is because I have a problem with one of my feet and no one is allowed to touch it but me! Also, you have to see what the state laws are for touching people's faces, etc.

BeautiControl will give leads to those consultants who are actively working their business from the magazine and from anyone requesting a consultant in their area. It is split between the consultants who have the zip code specified on their beautipage. This is something that you will do when activating your beautipage! I highly recommend doing this right after getting your consultant number!

Talk with the person recruiting you for a copy of the magazine. She should have ordered some especially if she is a Director. If not, go to the store in May to get your copy!

Thanks again Vicki! Where do I check the state laws out about what I can and can't do?

BTW, I think when I sign up, I get a website included with this for 6 months at no charge!

Yes, you do get the webpage free for 6 months included! Ask the person signing you up for the laws in your state. I still haven't figured out where to check for mine. This state's website is confusing at best!
