What's going on with Aloette? I left a message at the home office, but no one has contacted me. I've tried to find a consultant, they are HARD to find.
I know they have been selling their products on TV and wondered if this has basically put the reps out of business. Yes, they have a website too, but are they doing away with the personal touch of reps you can speak with face to face and try the products?

I hadn't ever heard of them. I just did a yahoo search for them. Their website comes right up and the few following sites are consultant sites. You can easily contact them via their sites. Here is the link to my search. #1 is the company site & #2 is a consultant site. I didn't bother to check the rest.

I found their website and the few consultant sites out there. I even called the company 3 days ago to get some info and NOONE has called me back. Seems to me since you can't find a rep and that the company has no interest in calling me back, that they don't want to do direct sales anymore...they are selling on TV now and don't need the reps I guess.

Hi there.
I realize this is an old thread but you may still be around.
I am friends with one of the top Aloette reps here in Canada, she was actually THE top distributor in all of Canada I think... in 2005?
Aloette has NOT stoppedthe good old face to face Direct selling approach and the opportunity is still there. They "very much" push PARTY PLAN!.
I had the very same concern you did so I asked my friend Catherine. The Aloette tv commercials has helped explode her business. She has people calling HER after watching the shows! Also the REPS get the sales from the tv ads NOT the company!
What happens when you call in to buy the company passes the prospects on to the reps. They do this by location.(active reps the closest to the prospect) So the Aloette reps lose nothing. Another point...Christie (owner of Aloette) ONLY does informercials for ONE DAY and not often. Its not done every day. I seen an Aloette infomercial late last night. My friend Catherine loves it when they do the infomercials.People call her.
I hope that sheds some more light on it.
The reps are in no way hurt by the commercials AND they are really big on party plan.
You can join for FREE by booking 6 shows. You get a kit with $1000.00 worth of products and you earn your kit back that way.The head office for Aloette is here in my city and they have bi-weekly meetings.Face to face, parties, booths and shows is very much alive as it ever was. They also give training on this at their local office.

I thought Aloette was based here in PA? Maybe they also have a Canadian office, but they originated here in Southeastern PA.
Never saw the infomercials. Are they typically on late at night? Or just showing in Canada?

I am not sure Gina. But for at least the last 3 years that I have known of them they have been based out of GA.
Kim
I searched to see if it was in PA before and this is what I found.
After purchasing the Company in 1998 and moving the headquarters from Philadelphia to Atlanta, Ms. Cohen became personally involved in product development ........................Edited by: kimw

Just FYI:
Aloette is set up differently than most direct sales companies. They have previously sold franchises, and they have a corporate structure that they have to honor. So, if you're in TX for instance, and you contact the corporate, they immediately turn your info over to the owner of the franchise for your area, if there is one. If not, they will talk with you themselves. Each franchise has different systems for joining and earning, and it's confusing to look at it that way. I checked into them a year or so ago and they were considering changing this system. Don't know if they did.
Aloette has AWESOME products and the pricing is comparable to the other "Botanically Based Skin Care System". Their home office is in Atlanta. They were on TV a lot when Shop at Home was on the air, but I don't know if they have moved to a different show or not. The consultants consider this free advertising! They make a lower commission off the products advertised on tv, if someone orders them the same day they are shown. It's a little different!
I'm surprised they didn't get back with you, they answered the phone and put me thru to someone who answered all of my questions when I called them.

That's what I remember too Kim (ksbell) re: franchising. I had looked into them eons ago & that's how they were set up. Was too high an investment for me, but their products were great from what I remember! That's when they were still near Phila.........
