View Full Version : You Don’t Have The Guts!

This is a great post from a friend, Mike in Reliv. I have his permission to
share it with you all...

"My buddies told me I didn't have the guts to climb the tree to the top
when I was twelve and had climbed half way up. I looked it over -
probably a couple would have loved to see me or anyone fall off - and
climbed high enough to get within five feet of the top where only one
other kid had ever climbed. THAT made my day!

Do you have the guts? The mettle? Do you have the intestinal fortitude to
take your hits and come up swinging again and again? Any way you look
at it or sugar coat it with all the feel good cliches of HappyMarketing it
takes guts - a strong enough motivation to arrive at something and
achieve something - to be successful in a business that less than 3% ever
earn a five or six figure income.

If your reason is to earn fifty bucks a month or a few hundred that's easy.
If your motivation is to make a couple of grand a month that's tough, that
takes guts. BUT if your motivation is to create a five or six figure income
in mostly over rides you don't have the guts unless you really dig in for
four or five years with a company and put in lots of time. Lots of time.

A few individuals here and there will tell you they've arrived at a high five
or six figure income in a year's time - they usually have BUT that doesn't
mean it will stick. If not the company they won't secure it strongly enough
to give it longevity, to give it a life of its own.

Do you or don't you have the guts? THAT is the question!...

…I know you've faced your biggest opponent - yourself and that's the
challenge that defeats most people - themselves. Discipline, persistence,
patience and focus - the guts to act when nothing is going right and
failure has knocked you down over and over again - the willingness to
look at yourself again and come out swinging - that's what it takes,
doesn't it."
