OK Girls!
I sent the resume, and got a letter Friday. I was expecting a rejection letter, but it wasa we are reviewing your ap one. Ikes. But I can't leave my son. And I love being home when Alex gets off the bus. So I'm hoping to make this work.
I'm going to take the plunge. If I can bring in 2 full time incomes from home, Ithink I could support the family untilour other biz takes off.smileys/smiley36.gif
So, I'm going tooffer coaching and training in 3 areas:
--How to find the perfect business consultation.
--I've started, now what consulting
--I can Do anything/overcoming hurdles.
Do those sound like services that would help others?
I'll dedicate a day to coaching, so I can still focus on my toys and my team.
I plan to do group calls, and one-on-one.
Now I have to figure out pricing and a website!
Any ideas on names, or suggestions to how I can help others?
Thanks!
Debbie

Hi Deb,
I like the last two areas. I thinkthat is where a lot of people fall down in direct sales. I know thata lot of people will say that is where your sponsor comes in at, but I think it helps tohave information/help coming from more than one source.

I'm actually surprised, but with a lot of the new businesses, there is no support system. They just sign up people and that's that.
Or it may help for someone doing their own biz as well.
Keep the feedback coming,
Debbie

Debbie,
I'm not sure where this would fit into your categories, but I think it is so vitaly important that people connect with why they are really doing this, and what they want out of it. Helping someone learn to dream again will connect them, establish their purpose, and drive them through the tough times. All the instruction in the world can mean nothing if your heart isn't in sync with your mind. This could maybe be part of consultations regarding goal setting.

That's awesome Deb! Best of luck to you!
I totally understand about not leaving your son....I was offered a job in January and the day before I was scheduled to start, I called and told them I could not do it. I could not leave my son, plain and simple. This from the mom who worked to support herself and her DD and was always the first one to say " I love my child, but I KNOW I could NEVER be a SAHM...I'd go nuts". Wow, how stupid was I! When I lost my job last year I was crushed and petrified that we could not make it without my 35+ a year...guess what...we are making it! It has taken some sacrifices (actually more like wejust can'tblow money anymore) but we're doing ok. Sorry to get off subject, but I am still amazed that I ever even thought I wanted to go back to work!
As for your consulting biz...I think the topics you've come up withare perfect. I think you could havean "effectiverecruiting " topic as well, so many of us truly struggle in that area. Hostess coaching, phone fear, etc...you are such a great source of knowledge to those of us here, I'm sure you'll have great luck!

Congrats Debbie! I think it's a wonderful idea and one that you will be extremely successful at. Being on your team, I speak from personal experience smileys/smiley2.gif. I think you just need to do what you are doing right now in regards to training your DT and apply it to your new venture. It works! I definitely think you should add a "recruiting" training in there too, you're good at it.
As for a name...I'm so bad when it comes to things like that...so I don't have any ideas on that one. But I'm sure a good one will just come to you.
Congrats again, and best of luck with it!
