I used to use *70 to disable my call waiting when I worked with NTI. Will this still work today or is there another way to disable call waiting during my work shift. I will be recieving incoming calls from doctors patients and sending messages. I dont want my line to beep on a call. Thanks for your help!

I'd call your local phone company. Disabling call waiting may vary from one phone service provider to another.
