I never used the demonstration when I did parties so I will let someone else explain it. Just a little fyi that there has always been debate about using it. Somepeople are strongly against it & some strongly for it. Home office did say at one time not use it.

I use it and people love it! You put 1 cracker in mineral oil and 1 in water and after a few mins. the water cracker is all soaked up and you can barely pick it up! The mineral oil cracker will remain hard as a rock! It shows how mineral oil coats, not penetrates. smileys/smiley2.gif Edited by: alldeckedout

I will say I have done it and it can be very effective but I have put a cracker in our salt scrub oil and the same thing happens. I have had people question me about it at classes, if I have ever tried it in our products. So I finally did and saw the results and now I don't do it anymore. I did a little experiement where I soaked a cracker in our baby oil and one in mineral oil baby oil, they both remained crisp and hard, I soaked them for an hour or so. Then I put them both in bowls of water to see what happened. The one in our oil got soggy slightly quicker, like ten minutes faster. But both of them within a half hour had been totally penetrated by the water. So I don't put much stock in that test any more. It is fine if no one questions it, but I had too many people (including myself) question it.

yep, that's why it's not recommended to do anymore.

Cassandra-don't you do something with putting our products on after the mineral oil and then by themselves? I thought that sounded effective.

on the back of one hand put a few drop of skin conditioning oil and rub in, then a small dab of rejuvenating cream and it rubs right in and skin feels smooth and soft
on the other hand put a few drops of mineral oil (baby oil) and rub in, then a small dab of rejuvenating cream and it does not rub in, just gets pushed around on top of skin and feels oily and looks oily
if you do this, make sure you do ours first so no chance of getting mineral oil mixed in, use cotton balls for the oil (mineral especially) so you're not oily for the rest of the presentation

smileys/smiley36.gifyep, that one and the pH pencil one ... those two demonstrations got me! (especially since my well water pH is 7.8 -YIKES!)
I used to run alot (when I was in the Army)and used to put tons of lotions on before I ran, and thought "boy do my legs look nice", smileys/smiley36.gif, yep they sure were shiny from the mineral oil based product I was using, smileys/smiley36.gif, now I know why I was always short of breath on my runs, it wasn't because I was "out of shape" it was because with all that mineral oil -I couldn't breathe!smileys/smiley9.gifsmileys/smiley36.gif Cuz if your skin ain't respirating (breathing), then neither are you!smileys/smiley2.gif

Funny how something that small can effect you in the long runsmileys/smiley5.gif
Where can you get the PH pencil??? I have seen it done, but I was told she got hers from a friend in a lab. I would love to get my hands on one to do that one also.

Paper towel or Hand towel
[/list]
Instructions

Place a paper towel or towel under the hand of one of your guests.

Take the NutriMinC RE9 Toner and spritz it 1-2 times on the back of their hand. (If you use our cleansing gel, you have to spritz water on their hand again and use a tiny amount of our gel and make some suds.) Use the pH pencil and rub it across the toner or our cleansing gel.

You’ll notice the yellow-gold color which is the correct level.

Sometimes guests or the host will ask to grab one of their own products to test. If they request to do this, you can test the product. HOWEVER, you need to be extremely careful not to “bash” any other product or product line. We’re simply demonstrating the pH level of our products to the guests.

I have never seen the pH pencil. Will one pencil work for multiple demonstrations, or are they a one time use only?
