Hey everyone!
I had to post this here because I am sure those of you who've been with a party plan knows what I mean when I say I am "hitting my stride".
I am finally at the point where I don't need to call people for bookings...YEAH! I am booking enough parties at my monthly shows, that my calendar for the following month is full!
I have a downline filled with new consultants and I always remind them that just like any*real job*smileys/smiley36.gifit will take awhile before you start to feel like you are hitting your stride and competent.
Too often, people quit DS too early before they know what it feels like to have a consistent calendar and large customer base.
Anyway, I just had to share. I am looking at my April calendar on March 31st and not panicking! Woo hoo!

I second all that! I try to tell people to stick with DS... but like any business... it takes time to build a customer base. I've been with Southern Living at HOME for 4 and a half years and like you, I can easily fill my calendar now. When I send out my "E-Newsletter" from SLAH, I always get about 1 or 2 bookings from people calling me!
That doesn't include those I get at parties.
I think when people begin direct sales, they want immediate success. But it is the same as if you opened a store front. It takes time!
Glad to hear it happens to everybody who sticks with it!

Isn't that such a GREAT feeling!! But I've also found that just as you think you've "hit your stride" you'll be in a position to get back to basics and get on the phone. I spent all last fall going great and I've been at less than what I'd hoped since then, but still not having to be on the phone everyday and wondering where my next booking is, is pretty nice. But it sounds like you're doing AWESOME smileys/smiley32.gif smileys/smiley32.gif smileys/smiley32.gif and I congratulate you!! Many give up before they've even had the chance to "stride".
