Are they charging the customer the surcharge or the distributor?

OUCH! Does this mean we only get paid $5.50 on each 16-ounce candle?

I look at it this way, if that is a cost that's passed on to the distributor, it'a convenience fee - I don't have to box, package, secure, tape, etc. on sales I wasn't expecting to have. I prefer dealing one on one with customers, even internet sales, so all traffic and purchases coming through my website are people that may have initially hesitated to contact me to begin with because they'd rather have a shopping cart type of purchase, so in a sense, I'm making a sale I might not have hadto begin with.
If the company is currently staffed sufficiently to meet the demands of the thousands of distributors and current shipments, just imagine what it will be once single orders are allowed from the website! So many more smaller sized boxes, packing materials, labor, etc. If a convenience fee wasn't passed along to us to cover, the end resultcould possiblybe to raise the costs wholesale for the distributors on all products. I wouldn't want that myself on the sporadic single orders - that's why so many companies only give the "everyday distributors" a 25-30% profit on retail, whereas we have 50% to start. (I say "everyday" because those with huge downlines often have higher percentage of profits only due to the downline they have)Edited by: dreamakr36

Very well put, Sandy!
The advent of online ordering will broaden such a wide spectrum of
posibilities for retailing and recruiting that I welcome a surcharge on
product sales if that's all it takes to make internet marketing possible.
I can't wait until April third!
See you at the TOP! smileys/smiley2.gif

You can look at it this way - we are earning $5.45 on each jar ordered, plus no time or effort on our part to speak of - I love this! smileys/smiley1.gif I was hoping for a fee/order rather than item, but I will take it. They may review or make changes in the future too.
The only thing I will miss is my label on the jar so they know where they bought it to re-order- I wonder how we can keep our customers coming back??

I agree I bet if you figure all the expense with other ways, either parties or shows, not to mentionyour time, I bet the $5.45 might actually be more profit.
