I'm sure this has been on here before but I need help. I'm having hard getting bookings. I've so far gotten 3 friends to book and 2 businesses. The first friends show totally bombed. No bookigns or anything. I've been to businesses around town and my friend and I just sent off 250 fliers for a babyshow. So far it hasn't been going as well as we had thought. Any ideas on what you do? I offer a lot so people shouln't feel jipped!

Hey Rose! I have been having some of the same challenges! I didn't have anything on the books for April as of last week, so I decided to have a Spa at my house..inviting my own friends/family/neighbors, to see if that could generate some leads for me. I'm the hostess, so unless I want to, it doesn't cost me anything except time (which I am happy to spend..I need some mommy time)! I am borrowing the Wacky, Tacky Pajama idea and doing a "come as you are and get ready for bed" Spa. We will all dress in our crazy pj's, relax, clean our faces using the nighttime skin care regime, and then eat decadent desserts to go along with the BeautiBistro line. I'll let you know how things go!

Same problem here! I had spas but they cancelled. I think my hostess incentives are pretty good too so I know it isn't due to not getting anything. This is why I am hosting the Mother's Day thing - and hopefully I can generate some interest there. Mother's Day is actually a ways off but it is the only holiday coming up besides Easter that I can think to do anything special for the ladies at my church.I could host a ladies night out and do a spa and then serve refreshments instead of the traditional just going out to eat and shop. They could participate in a great spa, eat, and then shop (from ME) and get much more than if they went out to the stores/mall! And to top it off they would leave so relaxed and ready to call it a night- no aching feet!!! smileys/smiley2.gif Sounds like a plan I might have to get serious on!


Best of luck to you ladies who are also struggling. I don't like to be negative but it has been a struggle for me too and I too feel like throwing in the towel or just switching over to a wholesale buyer for the discounts. But then something tells me it will get better so I keep at it. Encouragement helps though and you can find plenty of it here! My recruitor-soon to be director- says that if you have a problem share it because every consultant has been there and someone will have your answer.

The mother idea thing is a great idea. I thought about going to see girl scouts this weekend. Have a mother daughter spa. I think it could be fun!

The wacky, tacky spa party was lots of fun!You get some pretty interesting combinations. Don't forget to give away a door prize for the wackiest and tackiest!

I defnitely will, Vicki! I am also going to do the auction as well!
