Here is a little more detail about online ordering. Taken from the
Back office Message Board:
It's an online shopping cart system. There will be a link in the
main menu system to shop online, which will take them to the
shopping system. They can then add items to their cart and check
out. It will require them to register a customer account in order to
check out though.
For initial implementation, this is going to just be a separate
system as described above. We will be integrating it directly with
the Web site as we move forward (IE: someone looking at the candles
page on the Web site would have options to purchase the items right
there or view more information, which would link directly to the
shopping cart system). This will require more coding, which is not
hard, but just tedious, and we don't have enough time to complete
that for the set implementation date. We would rather have the
initial system up and running by itself before worrying about the
integration.
Distributors will get paid for items sold on the site and it will
just show up as another line item on your check. Prices are set by
us and everything is MSRP. Also, this system will only be available
on distributor sites and not the corporate site.

Just wanted to stop by and agree that this a great improvement for Mia Bella! I think this system is a wonderful addition, especially being only available on distr. sites...there will be no confusion on who is getting the commission!
