View Full Version : Questions...

I'm fixing to become a new rep, but got some questions for the group to get some various views from everyone...

1. Please explain exactly what is done at a spa...

2. Do you find more individuals purchase more products at spas or during one on ones?

3. What is the shipping time on products?

Also, has anyone tried to do a Open House Spa? I'm a Realtor, this is why I got the idea and maybe it's not a new idea...(I haven't had time to read through all the posts!smileys/smiley1.gif) but would it be stupid to say have a Open House Spa Day ... say on a Saturday, tell people to stop by between the hours of 12-5, bring a friend or just take 30 min. of me time while they are there. No obligation of course! This way SURELY they could stop in sometime during that time period.

Or kind of reverse it and call them and say, "I'm booking 30 min pampering times on Saturday...no obligation to you, just come by, say hi, have a cup of coffee, relax, chit chat for a while with me and let's get caught up! Then say I've got 2:30 or 4:00 still open...the other times are booked, can you drop by at either one of those times?

I think this would create urgency that HEY this is a popular thing and if I'm going to get my me time in there, I better take one of those spots. See, sometimes in real estate we do this too...hold a 30 min. open house on a home...buyers think boy, this house is hot and priced to sell, we had better get in there while we can!

I'm not sure if these are crazy ideas or not, or if they would work, but any way give me credit for thinking today! smileys/smiley1.gif

Speaking of Realtors, do any of you offer some kind of products to realtors to use for housewarming gifts? Do you do baskets or what...? I had thought about putting together some kind of basket for new homeowners...kind of a de-stress kit or basket for Realtors to give them. Every new homeowner is just plumb worn out by the time they pack, move and then unpack. What lady of the house wouldn't want some me time after that?

I willalso send a PM since my answer will again be long!

I had a party that you are suggesting and it was a lot of fun! We all soaked our feet and just relaxed. It was snowing outside and right before the holidays.

I have done open houses with a massage therapist doing chair massages. Usually these are appreciation parties, but I have been known to do them just because!

Since we moved, I have been making appointments to see Realtors. Most no longer give gifts to their clients for buying/selling a house. I agree that would be awesome to give as a gift to new homeowners with your business card tucked inside!Edited by: jmeauxspaqueen

Yes, I love this board! I have been with BeautiControl for 3 years, but did another party plan for 6. I have learned a lot along the way.

Andrea, my sisters are both Realtors and they give gifts to clients for buying/selling. I am also doing a work Spa for them next week and I'm excited about it! Your ideas sound great..keep thinking like that and you'll definitely be successful at this!

Shawn,

How do you get in to do a work spa at their office? I know they are your sisters and so that is the easy way...but how do you approach businesses to come in during the day to do these? Does this work? I read somewhere that that is what someone does, she does these during the day and then spas at night, but I can't find the post anymore... smileys/smiley19.gif

To be honest, this will be my frirst "work" spa! I'm excited to be doing it for my sisters. They are both consultants, so their enthusisasm will help as well. As far as they other offices I've approached, they are places where I know people that work there. I just ask at places I frequent because I've gotten to know the people there and I'm comfortable sharing with them what I do, especially since I Know they need what BeautiContol has to offer.

I let them know that we can do them at their convenience..whether that is during the day at lunchtime, or even after work for 30 minutes or so. The biggest thing of all is that you go in with a servant's heart and really focus on helping the employees relax. If you'd like, I have a brochure and an email that another consultant emailed to me that explains it. I use it as a visual when I'm explaning what I do to the offices. Just leave me a PM with your email if you want me to forward it to you! Thanks!

I think the average for one on one and spa parties is close to the same. Some buy, some don't, some over buy etc....

I think you have a great idea Andrea! You should try it and just see how it works out. I am trying to find a realtor I like to do somethings with. I am hoping to get in and on some people when they do a house warming party or something, new to the neighborhood type thing, see if I can find a way to do something for them with their guest. If you try it let us know how it works out.

OH shipping is usually up to 10 days tops. I usually get mine by 7 days. I did notice if I order or Friday, and order you order on Monday gets here the same day. I think 2 things, depends on how far you live from Dallas and what day you order.

BeautiControl had a Spa Works workbook and I can get you more information on spa parties at work. They were available while supplies last a month ago or so.

Vicki, tha tmay be where the brochure came from because it looks very professional and well put together. Not that a consultant couldn't have done it on his/her own, it just looks like something directly from the company! Thanks for the info!

Spa works has a letter that you can send to corporations. After I get home, I will upload it from the CD and send it to you. There are also other things that will be helpful. Check with some in your unit to see if they have a copy of the workbook and cd for you to borrow!
