A customer told me that her jar is not burning evenly. There is a rim of wax all the around the jar. Has this happened to anyone before? What should I tell her? I was thinking that maybe she just hasn't burned it long enough yet for it it even out.

Ruth, it sounds like when they poured the wax they got the jar alittle full. I have had this happen once. And I just scraped it off and the the jar burned evenly all the way down.

I've only had this happen once, and I know it was my fault. I had the jar sitting where there was a slight draft and the "breeze" would encourage the heat to one side and there would be a slight bit of wax left on the other side. It rectified itself when I noticed what it was doing and I did the same as Kim, pushed that wax down a bit and moved the candle to a place where the draft wouldn't hit it.

I have that happen actually alot. I've been burning mostly votives lately, so not sure why it happens. I do the same push the wax down into candle & it burns OK then.

It has happend to me with the first few times I burn it, but it somehow melts after it get's down farther. I haven't even tried to push it down, it sort of fixes itself after a few burnings.
