Hi Everyone:
Just wanted some opinions as to whether you would do this or not. I received the below e-mail from someone local to me. It would take a lot of work but might be great exposure. Would you do it and would you do it all yourself or try to find other rep? Would you use scent samples or candy mold samples?
Thanks so much for your input.
Barb.

Hello, I am co-chairof a fundraiser for a day shelter for homeless women and children in the Baltimore area, which draws 300 professional women in the 27-65 age bracket at $75 per person. We are preparing 300 'Goodie Bags' for our attendeesand are seeking product samples to place in the bags. Your reps would be able to attach a business card to their sample as well as have their name listed in the program. Samples do not have to come from only one rep---three or four could easily split this opportunity!
Please let me know if you have reps in our area who might be interested in this unique marketing tool to increase their business. The event is being held on May 24 and we would need samples no later than May 1.

If it were me Barb I would do it. I would use the candy molds and put on the label the scent, and what it is to be used for, ex. tart warmer etc.Yes it will cost you a little bit, but thats not that bad advertising cost wise.
I would ask to talk to a few people who have donated to the goody bags prior years to see if they have gotten any sales or responses to what they put into the bags. This might help you determine whether you want to partcipate.
Goodluck!!

Hi Barb, yes I would do that. I think it would be a great opportunity to expose yourself.
I also think it would be great information for the families that are at the shelter. If you don't want to use your business cards that are from the back office you cancreate the business cards yourself and attach the sample bags & molds. Do both so it can add up to 300. Get some nice paper at staples and create your own business cards.. it will be fun !!
At least you know you are helping someone out. They may need the support and you will be just the one to add to helping them out. smileys/smiley2.gifgood luck !!
