Is there a more recent GAO thread? I saw one but the last post was in January.

I was hoping to find others who have signed up to do the new Southwestern work that is supposed to start next week. I haven't heard anything! So, wanted to see if anyone else knows anything before I email them.

That is so strange! I don't see anything.

I got an email from Terry O'Hair, telling me that they got my contract and that I am set to go (I had emailed to follow up since I hadn't heard anything) But, I didn't get an email yesterday.

Do you mind telling me what it said? Is everything set for us to start next week?

Perhaps I should email again. So strange.

You know... I am now wondering if Terry got confused. I signed my contract for GAO fall work back a few months ago. Then, I got the email from Cindy, asking if I wanted to do Southwestern work. I said yes, signed the contract I got in the mail, and mailed it back. I then inquired to both Cindy and Terry about my contract... and Terry replied that I was set to go.

I wonder if he thought I was talking about the Fall? Hmmm... not sure.

I really need work! I hope I am good to go for Southwestern.

I also got an invite from Cindy to work before my fall contract and now I'm confused. Is there an entirely different login to Southwestern than GAO? I signed the summer contract and they said work would most likely be available the first week of August, but I haven't received any updated info. Any info would be appreciated...thanks ladies!

I heard from Cindy yesterday after I asked about our work starting. Southwestern will hopefully be ready next week! I have no idea how this differs from typical Fall work. But, hopefully we will hear more soon. :)

Not a peep here. I did see on another forum that some people that were emailing and asking were now told the 16th. The lack of communication is something new this company. I personally cleared my schedule of everything this week as I am in desperate need of a change of pace. :)

What is the registration link to apply? I did a quick search on the old posts but didn't see anything!

They won't accept applications again until January. The address is in the previous thread. If you email them before then, they will just tell you to contact them in January or June.

I still don't see anything.... Can someone post the link again so I can at least check out the company. :confused:

There is no registration link, you contact them by email in January or June to have a test sent to you. The current wait list is 1.5 to 3 years long.A quick google search will tell you what the company is, reading through prior threads will tell you what this type of work entails.

I don't mean to be short, but there are several threads on wahm about GAO. Asking us to give you the address means one of us will have to go read through those multi-page threads for you. I know it's out there because that is how I applied, through reading what is already available here.

Again, I don't mean to be rude. I found 24 threads for this company, I know it is here several times over. :)

Is anyone disappointed with these forms?

It's as though I'm entering off carbon copies that have been scanned. You can barely read the amounts written so I find myself arrowing down to the middle price area to confirm what the Price field is, i.e. ends with a 4 or a 5 or a 0 or what. Frustrating.

I know, I know, I should be grateful. But ... ugh.

The new forms are a bit frustrating...... but I'm with you...at least it's work. It also seems that besides reading the carbon.... I cannot seem to get my speed up like in the past so I'm not making as much as I do...... but still, money is money and I'm glad it's finally in full force!!

But this morning I log in and there is nothing available...... yesterday afternoon I was kicked into the magazine orders instead of Southwestern...... and it seems I'm not automatically kicked back so now I probably have to wait until someone shows up to work in a few hours..... another UGH.....

My contract for the magazines starts today, however I've been logged in all morning and there are no orders to enter.

Has anyone else started earlier, or this week that is entering right now? I don't want to bombard Terry if there are no technical issues on my end so I thought I'd check here, first.

Can anyone provide insight to the miskeys? Do they carry a lot of weight or is it a QC thing? I had 5 on my last 100 and was bummed...just wasn't with it and kept fat fingering it.
