I am considering joining up with a skin care company, but like some of the things BC offers. Got some questions that ya'll might help me with though...

1. Do the products carry any harmful ingredients like alcohol or mineral oil in them?

2. How do you move up the ladder of success here. What are the qualifications to reach each level?

3. Has anyone had any luck passing out samples to people and either getting orders or people wanting to sign up simply by trying them?

4. How much are brochures/catalogs/sample costsetc for the reps?

5. How can one book parties in a new town where they don't know anyone? I've just been here a month...

6. How often do they offer the $99 sign on special like they are offering right now? That is a fantastic deal! Otherwise, what is the normal start up costs?

7. Can we advertise in the newspapers or on the internet?

Thanks for your help!

All good questions, a lot to answer in the forum but I will try a couple of them and maybe someone else will jump in answer the rest.

Your right 99.00 is a fantastic deal. I joined at the regular price of 250.00 which I also felt was a fantastic deal. I have not regretted one moment of my decision. Since I've joined the 99.00 has been offered twice a year. Also 179.00 a couple of times. Usually when it is regular price there may be an incentive like free product.

Booking parties are always a little work. We have a couple of ladies on this forum that are new to their areas and have had to come up with some "creative" ideas.....some of which are shared here in the forum.

The brochures and all are pretty reasonable, I think I paid 2.25 for 10 of the 2006 catalogs, different prices for different brochures, depending on what all is included. Many of the brochures you can download off of the beautinet site for consultants for free.

I've passed out sample tubes of the regenerationhand creme and done well with those sales. I had my daughter take them to the hospital where she works , the nurses loved them. I did get orders for the lotion and a few other things.

Like most companies you move up by selling and recruiting. There are good incentives for recruiting for both you and your recruit. I also like the fact that someone can join and do it at their own pace, requirements on orders are only 100.00 ever 120 days.

Hopefully this has helped some.

Welcome to the board.....I hope you join us!!!

I think you covered all of her questions Jo. I joined in Nov. of last year, have been doing it full time since January and I have 3 recruits now. They aren't doing any spas yet, but I hope to get them going soon. I never thought I could like to "sell" anything, but BC products sell themselves! I just show people how to use them. I have never really enjoyed anything as much as I enjoy this. No matter who you talk to, they are very helpfull. If they don't know the answer they will find out!smileys/smiley17.gif

I don't regret signing up at all, I'm looking forward to the many things BC has to offer. I wish you all the best in everything you do!smileys/smiley9.gif

I am new to this forum and so glad I found it! Hi everyone! The answers you need can easily be emailed to you as everything is accessable through the beautinet. Beauticontrol is a fabulous opportunity to make money and friends, at your own pace! The women (and Men) in this organization are there to help you, not hound you! I absolutely love the products, the incentive plans, and the company's structure. The support materials are awesome, affordable, and professional. I am still only doing it part time, however use the foundations and makeup plus skincare when I do wedding makeups. Very impressed with every aspect. Feel free to email me at any time at danadelikat@yahoo.com for any further questions. Hi all beauticontrol consultants and customers!smileys/smiley1.gif

Hi! I am actually not new to Beauticontrol, but I have been partime and going through alot of personal changes. I would love to go to celebration, but My husband and I are in the process of moving and we just cant affort it right now! I know, if I sold more beauticontrol..........I have been working to provide steady income as a lancome makeup artist and do fragrance modeling. But I do tell people about Beauticontrol when the situation is right. I have done 8 weddings in the last 5 months using Beauticontrol and Lancome products as I see fit. It will come, but my new husband and I have a very limited budget and time right now. But I have plans!!

Dana,

Sorry to hear about all the changes going on. We were there in 2004 when my husband decided to move from Dallas to Central IL. He wanted to move closer to home. he had been laid off too for 2 years so it was time to leave. He still isn't in the field he should be!

I wish you well in your business! Sounds like you are very determined and have the desire to make it happen. Good for you!

You will find encouragement and support here.

I konw this thread is older....but I wanted to mention for those who are trying to decide between BC and another company.

I personally think it's important to ask the question of WHO is contributing to the sales of the downline in the company that you are considering.......is it clients or people who are being enrolled as wholesalers.

If the consultants or reps or distributors make up the majority of the company's sales with their own personal use....to me -that's not direct sales.....that's something else.

Please understand, I'm not criticizing another company or opportunity....just encouraging those who are weighing in between more than 1 company - ask questions about which company and opportunity and ultimately which product line is going to help you achieve your goals. Who is selling what to who?

one thought I'd like to add, when I purchased my start up kit, a lot of materials were included like product brochures and the little things like mascara wands, spatulas, asst. demo products. I also had two friends sign up, too, and they weren't in it for the business just the products and I got all their business supplies too.

I paid 179.00 in February and when I spent enough money on inventory at BeautiU, BeautiControl mailed me a check back for 179.00...so I joined for FREE!!!!!!smileys/smiley32.gifsmileys/smiley32.gifsmileys/smiley32.gifsmileys/smiley32.gif
