Good day Mia Mamas:
I am coming up with ideas for business that I could approach - not for wholesaling or consignment - but for allowing me to leave a basket of brochures or catalogues with scent samples attached. I really think the delicious smell from the basket on the sales counter, or in the reception area would attract a few prospects. I would make the samples the ones made with the chocolate molds to be more attractive.
I've read before where one lady has a basket in a baby/children's clothing store. Good idea! I was going to take this one step further and try consignment shops.
I was thinking of writing up a letter with ideas for realtors and going around to their offices to see if I could leave a basket. The letter would give ideas for our products (house-warming gifts, referral gifts, lighting a votive during open houses, etc).
Are there other businesses you ladies would recommend I try this with?
Have any of you tried this with any success? Please share your stories. smileys/smiley32.gif
Blessings,
Vicki

Don't forget your local drs offices, many of them will let you stick a basket with freebies in it. I have seen some here that have free drawing baskets as well....get lots of leads that way! You know when you are in the dr office you are bored, look for anythingto read etc. lol
Goodluck!

Hey Vicki!
I did a sample basket for Baby's clothing boutique where she also does custom designs for Christening outfits. I used little baby bootie molds that were alittle bigger than candy molds that you could either give away or sell as room fresheners. They could also be a part of a gift basket. Two can be made from one votive.
Some other businesses I would think of putting small scent samples in are Car Wash waiting areas, Coffee Shop Counters, Small Book Stores, Yoga or Massage places, Flower Shops, Tobacco Shops, Health Food Stores, and any other places that have a waiting room.

Thank you for the wonderful suggestions!
I better get my first shipment soon so I can make some samples. I even went to Michael's today and picked up my candy molds!
