I thought I'd tap into the brilliant minds we have here. I'd like to focus on gathering referrals. Just narrowing in on ideas now. Maybe it's an email blast or call blitz...have to decide what to offer as a gift...any creative and fun ideas out there? ;) I know a common one is "lipstick for 3 names," but just looking for a different twist.

I've had the best response when asking for referrals during a facial. The saying is that people recruit closest to the product, and I add that they refer too. I've done email blasts, asked them during my customer service calls and so on. But at a party is when I get 20+ names from people. Also as a standard referral bonus I give 40% off of any product or item to the person who referred a new customer to me.

Melissa, you make a very good point. An email/phone request for referrals is probably less effective than in person at a class, so my focus should instead be on ramping up the class schedule. And I've got a fun "triple scoop" summer hostess promotion for that.....so, change of direction. SEE....brilliant minds on here!

I'm having great results using the hostess extravaganza program for the summer.

I never asked you, Melissa, where you are at in Iowa. I grew up there in Marshalltown, and still have relatives there and in Des Moines. We joke that we are the only family in Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes, that vacations on a lake in Iowa every summer (Okoboji).

Angie...I have been afraid to venture into Iowa..
I hear the Border Patrol in Minnesota can be pretty dang tough.

I live in the Quad Cities right now. Went to college in Ames and went to high school in south east Iowa.
