Hi everybody,
Arbonne is also one of the companies that I have been checking into.
Do you guys tax on shipping? How are orders placed?
To become a rep,all I would invest is the $29 fee and receive discounts?

Yes, shipping is taxed.Orders are placed either through www.arbonne.com (http://www.arbonne.com) or 1-800-ARBONNE. Yes, you are correct on the $29 to be able to order at wholesale prices.

So,for $29,I can become an ind.rep? What is required to remain in active status?

yes, $29 opens your consultant account, annual renewal is $15. If you are going for residual income (building a team under you), you will need to place a $100minimum retail order monthly- most of us put in an autoship order. Edited by: cassandra

I am not taxed on my shipping. I assumed it was like that for all of Arbonne but maybe it is a state thing?
2kids, when you ask "What is required to remain in active status?" what do you mean? There is nothing required to keep your discount. I know some companies take that away if you don't order a certain amount. However, like Cassandra said, if you want to get paid on your residual income you have to have a $100 retail ($65 wholesale)order under your number for that month, whether it's from you buying or selling it. & she's right thata lotof us use autoship so it isn't an issue. I would hate to forget to place an order one month & have that be the month I was starting my nice fat paychecks, lol. That would be my luck! smileys/smiley36.gif

Jennifer, it must be a state thing then (tax on shipping) because I just put in an 'order' and ran the numbers to make sure I was giving the correct information and shipping does get taxed in PA.

72 cents isn't bad, especially for taxes!

I'm getting taxed on shipping and also on the retail price of the order, not the discounted price I pay.

Yeah, I don't get taxed on the discounted price I pay, unless it's like the PWP or somethng like that. I don't think they can tax us on the discounted instead of the retail since that is what the government requires payment on. It can really get up there too, ours is 8.517%. It varies by counties though & if my mom has it shipped to her house instead of my office she has to pay higher taxes on it. Arbonne has no control over that but it's still a drag!

Just an FYI- You have to do $100 PRV each month, yes. BUT- when you are in qualification for District Manager, you have to have $1000 PRV over 3 months.
