I broke my ankle on July fourth and now I am in a half cast, I go for the full cast next week. My work is trying to say that I am not eligible for short term disability, even though they made a loop hole for me to be benefit eligible when I demaneded they reimburse me when they were taking money out of my check for insurence I did know that I had. Also, they are saying that becasue I have not been there a year, they most likely will not hold my job. I am pretty sure I am looking at about 8 weeks of recovery time I broke the other side four years ago. So whether or not they give me my job back I need something to do in the meantime. I only have a cell phone and cannot afford to add a landline at this time, also I cannot be paid with PayPal, my ex husband used it and now I owe them money. I am sorry about the venting, I love the company I work for but the corporate office just keeps dissapointing me. I am a caregiver in an assited living facility so there are no sit down jobs there. If anyone has anyideas of work that does not require a land line or PayPal, they would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

i'm sorry to hear all of that and I hope your ankle heals very fast. I'm quite certain a lot of the work at home positions (or at least some posted here) would pay by check.

I'm so sorry about your situation. I wasn't quite clear if you are looking for permanent or temp work. There are job leads here for both, many pay by check, some direct deposit, some are IC, others employee based. Read through the threads and start applying. Also, if possible try to change your pay pal account, that will open up some short term possiblities. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Sorry to hear that. If you are good in writing. You might want to check the writing folder. You can make a pretty good amount if that is your niche.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your ankle, but I hope it heals well and quickly.
Get another PayPal address and continue to tune into this forum, including the site's job leads section. Also, several members routinely share job leads here, so be on the lookout. Lastly, you'll do well to venture outside of the telecommuting folder and check some of the others out. There are TONS of resources here and people who are willing to answer your questions.
