Is anyone mailing out the new catalogs? Or are you just leaving them at doors and with people you see face to face?

Can I mail out a catalog without putting one of those clear "wafer
seals" on it, or will loose pages get stuck in postal equipment?

Also, I don't suppose I should put a scent sample inside, right? The post office probably would NOT love me for that!

I used them for invitations. I put a scent sample in there also hoping that nothing happens to them. If you can mail them in an envelope why couldnt you mail them in this?

Would like to hear others opinion also.

Hi Ladies,

I have not ordered mine yet (trying to wait for the warmers to come in), but when I do get them I plan on sending them out to new and old customers with scent samples in them. I may also put coupons in them as well. I think these catalogs are going to bring alot of wonderful business to us all!smileys/smiley17.gif

Many Blessings,

Natalie

I am making packages up now to mail. I puta scent sample in mine, then just taped a bit to close it. Easy peasy!

No envelopes, just using the label area.

Do you think the post office is going to mind if we have scent samples in them though?

Won't that make it too bulky to go through their machines?

Kimmie, I'm not sure if there are any pictures of the new catalogs in
the distributors' section of the company website or not, but that's
probably where you would be able to see them once they put them up.

The catalogs are VERY nice, that's for sure.

I pressed the sample flat and double bagged it, then stapled it twice so it will lay flat.

We'll see, I am mailing one out tomorrow just to test it.

I used to work for a mailing company and the post office is kind of picky about first class packages unless they are in envelopes. I guess it depends on the thickness. The package can't exceed 1/4" in thickness. They might even charge a surchage if the package is to bulky.I would use the wafer seals or tapeinstead of staples just because there is less chance for the catalog getting damaged. The staple might get caught on something and be removed, then say goodbye to all the inserts. If you are sending loose inserts make sure that all 3 sides of the catalogs are sealed, you want the inserts to stay put. I would think just sending a price list and a thin scent sample would be fine.
