The company needs virtual assistant: data-entry experts who have competitive skills in writing, typing, code verification and data-entry work.

The work is very easy and very simple and you can work 2-4 hours per day 5 days per week. You can work anytime.

What the company needs?

*candidates who can work 2-4 hours per day and 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) and can work in GMT+8 time zone.

*candidates who can type and make 1,400 correct entries per day.

*candidates who can work part-time and can make 7,000 correct entries per week (5 days).

*candidates who can understand the work easily.

*candidates who can work long-term to permanent work.

*candidates who are graduate and/or still undergraduate. High School is ok.

*Candidates who are good in data-entry and code verification.

*Candidates who are good in writing, blogging and/or typing codes/words.

*candidates who are available 5 days per week.

*Candidates who are from the india, australia, USA and Europe and have PayPal.

What is the work?

*It is data-entry and it is very easy. You need to type at least 1,400 correct entries per day.

How much is the salary?

*$40.00 per week.

*The company will give the payment every wednesday.

How to start the work in Data-Entry?

*Download the software/attachment and "run" it everytime you will start the work. After you finish the work in Monday to Friday, contact me in email and I will send your payment in the next week (Wednesday) automatically. If you finish the work and like to contact me, always include in your message: ID/USERNAME.

*Log-in using the username that I will give you and no password need.

*Codes will load and you must type it correctly and efficiently.

*The work is code verification and data-entry only and the work do not need you to think and think technically.

*The work is easy and simple work.

How can I know the total correct and not correct entries that I typed?

This is weekly payment work.

The company will not pay you if you do not finish 7,000 correct entries per week (5 days only).

The code: LoVE ComPUTER (Type: LoVE ComPUTER). It is case-sentitive. Type the code (the same as it looks like).

Yeah, I really don't know about this one. The writer of that message you received is definitely a foreigner which in my experience can mean trouble. I would do it for the week, make sure you hit 7000 accurately and then see if you get paid. Please let us know if it works out for you.

I'll keep everyone posted as to what the "real" deal is on this one.

The employer is very communicative though and said that they are still looking for 25 more candidates so by next week Wednesday, I'll be able to tell you whether or not I got paid (that is of course if I'm able to enter 7000 verification codes).

I'm skeptical but the guy does give a lot of information about the position. What's the deal with the $40 in the initial description and $100 in the second description?

I thought that was kinda "fishy" too with the discrepancy in amounts in the actual ad compared to what's mentioned when they finally communicate with you. And I plumb forgot to inquire about that one. I'll have to send them an email to ask.

I've just about met my quota for the day but will continue until Friday.

How long would you say it takes you to do a day's worth of work?

Thanks Sonya. I applied, so we will see if I get a response from them. This is for the one that you are currently doing. I would surpass that amount and then some by blowing that out of the water, lol! :) To me, what they are wanting is not much of a quota, since I can key roughly 23,000 keystrokes per hour, lol! :)

I too was kind of skeptical about the fact that they had two different pay amounts in the description there of $40 and then $100 per week, not to mention that they said that you wouldn't get paid if you didn't meet the quota either. ;)

That's not much, but on the other hand, if you are only entering CAPTCHA codes, then that is extremely fast and easy. :)

I'll let you know if I hear anything from them, as I do have 20 years of data entry experience.

Regarding the other job, I left a couple of phone messages to see if I can get my questions or concerns answered, because they state that in their e-mail when they send you the application that if you have any questions that you can contact them and ask. Therefore, I'll let everyone know if I hear from them and get the questions and/or concerns answered.

Well, ladies, here is an update....
I e-mailed them again in regards to the income discrepancy of $40 per week that was mentioned in their ad vs. $100 per week that they communicated to me via email. It's been well over 7 hours and NO RESPONSE. :mad:

On top of that, it looks as though my statisticas as to what I have entered correctly just all of a sudden reset itself as though I never entered the 1200+ done earlier. I inquire about that to in my message to them, but still NO RESPONSE.:eek:

I just sent them yet another email and advised them that if I do not receive correspondence back by 6 p.m. EST tomorrow, I will end my participation.

I don't know if I can report them to someone but things have gone down-hill since my earlier email to them.

I'll continue to keep you informed. Anyone else experience any problems?:confused:

I'm sorry they aren't being responsive- any chance you emailed in middle of the night if they're in Hong Kong (GMT-8 Time Zone)? Or that your stats were entered over two days' time?

With due respect, Virtual Assistant roles are not employee roles. VAs are self-employed and they choose their rates - not get told what they're going to get paid.

What currency was the payment in? I didn't notice that in the information provided and it did seem quite low pay.

They mentioned a number of countries but then were specific about the timeframe to work in so sounds like they want people to work overnight in some of those countries.

Personally I wouldn't touch it, but then I'm not in the position that I need to I guess.

If you're looking for genuine virtual assistant roles I'd encourage you to seek out VA networks where other VAs hang out and learn from them - some may even sub-contract work to you, at a higher rate too.

For those interested, I've decided to STOP participating in the entries of those captcha (verification) codes.. It actually became somewhat tedious, time-consuming and took away opportunities for me to apply or work on any other potential job prospects that I might run into...I'd prefer Odesk, Guru, or Elance over this!

But just in case you're wondering, I did get a response back from Ircel regarding payment inquiry and why my statistics were reset to zero:

We do not promise any competitive more than $100 because the company is real and not scam. There are increase in salary per week, however, it is still in plan.

I have to agree with you. I got hired and started the entries just to see what it entailed and what it was like. While the work is easy, how on earth do you know just how many entries you have truly completed, especially if they so called "reset" the server?! That makes NO sense whatsoever! ;) I don't get it.

I somewhat think that they do that, so that you cannot get above a certain amount of entries and so that they will have to pay you as little as possible. It also sounds to me like they are mostly looking for Indian workers, who will work for CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP!!!! lol! :D

I have nothing against Indian workers, however, you cannot complete with people that want to be paid anywhere from $2 to $4 bucks an hour! :D I've always had gripes with this for years and this was the MAIN reason I decided to leave eLance after being on there since 1999 (when they FIRST started!). You just couldn't compete! Not to mention that I had people copying my bids and even MY CREDENTIALS! Now that in itself is SAD!!!! :mad:

Auburnwahm, how do you know that the data entry job which requires a background check and ssn and driver's license number is a scam? I called up yesterday at the number given on the application and I spoke to the guy named Jack who is the ceo of the company and then I also visited the website which was on the application as well. I do agree with you that all the info they are asking which is very sensitive is quite ridiculous especially when we are only doing freelance work. I tried looking them up on the bbb site but no info was revealed about them at all, it did not even bring them up at all. I know the company has been around since 2004, but what proof is there about them being a scam other than the fact that they are asking for so much info? I need your help and anyone else's help and opinion about this that has applied or thinking of applying for the company we are both talking about because I actually printed out the application and filled out the paper in ink, but I did not make any copies of my ssn card or driver license card because after reading your comments on this thread I began to get very concerned and since this is a work at home contract position I came to this thread on wahm to see if anyone else had any experience or furthter info about this company-good or bad, because as you and I know, when it comes to work at home jobs you must be extremely cautious, especially if you are searching for at home jobs on the web instead of dealing with companies locally from your own community and/or local newspaper.

goodness gracious would someone please translate this into english for me please.... thank goodness I'm sitting on my Fall contract from GAO - this will be my 4th year with them and we all look forward to returning with the chance to make real money each season.

Is anyone else trying out this data entry "job"? I'm trying it out...at least to just see if they pay or not. Seems a little weird to me.

This is really tedious though, at least to me. I'm a really fast typist, but this is taking me forever, and I've only gotten 1,000 done. The letters and numbers all mixed up, and my pinky is hurting from hitting the shift button so much! :)

I thought this was by keystroke, but it seems like each captcha is only counted as one. Hopefully I make it to the 7,000 mark. It would be pretty cool money if it paid.

For some reason mine seemed to "reset" and I had done quite a few. Not sure of what is going on here, but if it is going to continue to do that then, I am NOT going to continue with it. ;)

I thought that they may reset it each and every day at midnight their time, but it reset mine at noon MY time today and I don't get it! ;)

Thank you so much for posting this! :) However, I have followed their directions EXACTLY to the letter and log-in from the software and NOT the link. I have only used the link to check my entries. That's it.

However, even though I am using the software to log-in, my entries are still getting reset NO matter what! If this continues to happen, I think that I am just going to STOP working and NOT work any more, as I think that they do this on purpose so they either do NOT have to pay you or will have to pay you very little, because you can also see what everyone else has done and if you check, you can see where there are hardly any other people with the allotted amount of 7000 entries.

Hi all,

I decided to try this. I'm currently at around 4,200 and hope to get the rest I need tonight or early tomorrow morning. I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue I am having. I track my entries from the link they give me, and my stats have been adding up for each day I enter work. So, nothing is resetting for me, it's just accumulating everything I do from day to day. And I was told the same thing that the work week is Tue thru Sat and to email on Sat, once the 7,000 is reached and give my username and PayPal address, so I can be paid on this Wed coming up. I was told it would be $100 as well, so I hope this is legit. I will keep you all posted. Of course, if I don't get paid, I'm done with this. I realize I'm taking a gamble, as I haven't found anyone to vouch for this company that they do pay.

The issue I'm having is, I'm logging into the system and the screen comes up. I can see the characters, which are usually purple and inside a white box. My problem is I can't see where my cursor is on the screen or see the characters as I type. So, basically I'm just taking a chance I'm typing them correctly. It's frustrating to key without seeing the letters or numbers you're keying. Is anyone else having this issue?

I'm a fairly accurate typist, so I'm not too concerned. My error rate seems to be in keeping with other coders I see in the stats link. But I could cut down on this rate, if I could see the characters as I type them. I've tried explaining to the person with the co. what was going on, but I don't think they understand what I am referring too. They seem to think I'm saying I can't see the characters to type. But I can see them fine, I just can't see a box or anything to type the letters into. So, I just started typing, then checked the link to see if anything came up under my stats. So, I'm able to type even though I can't see what I've typed.

I will let you all know if I get paid or not. I really could use the $100, so I hope it does. Is anyone else at 4,000 or 5,000 or even the 7,000 mark yet? Well, back to plugging away to get to 7,000. I'm typing about 500 per hour. It is time consuming, because of the different mix of characters and you having to type them as seen. Would go faster if we could type the letters in ALL CAPS or all lower case.

ETA - Well, I'm up to 6,203, but the server is going very slowly. So, I'm signing off for now. I'll grab about 3 hrs of sleep and get back up, so I can get my other 797 to complete my 7,000. Then pray I get paid.

I notice they have a lot of registered coders. But only a handful seem as if they will make it to the 7,000 quota. Most stats are well under 1,000, so this company is getting a whole lot of free work done. That's the catch I think. They tell you they will only pay if you complete 7,000. So anything under this will not be paid . That's kind of a bummer if you get to 6,999 and the server runs out of work, therefore causing you not to make the 7,000. Only one person has gotten to 7,001. Then there are about I would say maybe 20 other people who are close to the quota, myself included. So, that's not a lot of people reaching 7,000.

I wonder if they have this rule of 7,000 to get paid, because they know most people won't be able to get to 7,000 in a decent amount of time & just give up. But that's crazy having to continue to find people. But they have gotten a lot of free work done, because it looks as if most people gave up on trying to get to the 7,000 and there has to be well over 100 users on the stats page.

I really started on Wed around 2 pm eastern time. I didn't see the thread for this until late Tue night. So, I sent my info that night & they contacted me Wed morning with my log in info. Then I was having the issues above, and was sent another link to open up the server, but prob still exists of not being able to see what I type.

Then I was told to wait & start next Tues, but by this point I had already done 1,098. So, I asked what about that and could it roll over to next week. I was told to just go ahead and continue, if I thought I could get 7,000 done by today Sat. I knew as long as the work was avail and pretty much came back to back I could probably reach it. You really have to be an above-average data entry person to reach this quota every week. I figure I'm doing 500 per hour, so to get 7,000 done that's about 14 hours of work. Once I've done it a while, I'm sure I can cut it down by maybe an hour or so. At any rate, $100 isn't too bad for 14 hours of my time. So, now the wait to see if I get paid. I sent an email to them and requested payment as they stated I should do. So, I'm hoping if they want to keep good workers around that they will pay.

I see only 2 other people have reached the quota and maybe another 2 or 3 are about 1,000 or so away. These people may make it, but anybody needing more than 1,000 probably won't make it. This site is 8 hrs ahead of US east coast time, and it is already after 10pm there. So, their day is about to end and I suspect at midnight they will probably clear their system of all totals to prepare for next week.

So, I think if you don't get your quota in by 4pm est, 1pm west coast time, 3 pm central, etc, then you won't be getting paid. And I see some people who are really close, but if they don't get to 7,000 in the next 1 hr and 45 approx, they won't get paid. And it's a shame to do that much and not get paid.

Also, I noticed someone did over 8,000 of these and I was told not to do more than 7,000, because you won't be paid for any extra. So, just an FYI. I also cut and pasted my stats & am keeping a log of them in a Notepad document, so I can keep track of every week that I make the 7,000. I also included this in my email to them, when I requested my payment. This way they can see my username, the time and the amount. Although I'm sure they can see it in their system, I just want to let them know I'm keeping a track of it as well, since they clear their system at the end of the week.

Well, here's hoping someone else on here was able to make it. If they really do pay, this will be a nice little egg to have. They say it will be long-term work, so that's a plus.

I will let you know next Wed, if my PayPal acct has been credited with the $100.

I decided to try this. I'm currently at around 4,200 and hope to get the rest I need tonight or early tomorrow morning. I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue I am having. I track my entries from the link they give me, and my stats have been adding up for each day I enter work. So, nothing is resetting for me, it's just accumulating everything I do from day to day. And I was told the same thing that the work week is Tue thru Sat and to email on Sat, once the 7,000 is reached and give my username and PayPal address, so I can be paid on this Wed coming up. I was told it would be $100 as well, so I hope this is legit. I will keep you all posted. Of course, if I don't get paid, I'm done with this. I realize I'm taking a gamble, as I haven't found anyone to vouch for this company that they do pay.

The issue I'm having is, I'm logging into the system and the screen comes up. I can see the characters, which are usually purple and inside a white box. My problem is I can't see where my cursor is on the screen or see the characters as I type. So, basically I'm just taking a chance I'm typing them correctly. It's frustrating to key without seeing the letters or numbers you're keying. Is anyone else having this issue?

I'm a fairly accurate typist, so I'm not too concerned. My error rate seems to be in keeping with other coders I see in the stats link. But I could cut down on this rate, if I could see the characters as I type them. I've tried explaining to the person with the co. what was going on, but I don't think they understand what I am referring too. They seem to think I'm saying I can't see the characters to type. But I can see them fine, I just can't see a box or anything to type the letters into. So, I just started typing, then checked the link to see if anything came up under my stats. So, I'm able to type even though I can't see what I've typed.

I will let you all know if I get paid or not. I really could use the $100, so I hope it does. Is anyone else at 4,000 or 5,000 or even the 7,000 mark yet? Well, back to plugging away to get to 7,000. I'm typing about 500 per hour. It is time consuming, because of the different mix of characters and you having to type them as seen. Would go faster if we could type the letters in ALL CAPS or all lower case.

ETA - Well, I'm up to 6,203, but the server is going very slowly. So, I'm signing off for now. I'll grab about 3 hrs of sleep and get back up, so I can get my other 797 to complete my 7,000. Then pray I get paid.

I notice they have a lot of registered coders. But only a handful seem as if they will make it to the 7,000 quota. Most stats are well under 1,000, so this company is getting a whole lot of free work done. That's the catch I think. They tell you they will only pay if you complete 7,000. So anything under this will not be paid . That's kind of a bummer if you get to 6,999 and the server runs out of work, therefore causing you not to make the 7,000. Only one person has gotten to 7,001. Then there are about I would say maybe 20 other people who are close to the quota, myself included. So, that's not a lot of people reaching 7,000.

I wonder if they have this rule of 7,000 to get paid, because they know most people won't be able to get to 7,000 in a decent amount of time & just give up. But that's crazy having to continue to find people. But they have gotten a lot of free work done, because it looks as if most people gave up on trying to get to the 7,000 and there has to be well over 100 users on the stats page.

I really started on Wed around 2 pm eastern time. I didn't see the thread for this until late Tue night. So, I sent my info that night & they contacted me Wed morning with my log in info. Then I was having the issues above, and was sent another link to open up the server, but prob still exists of not being able to see what I type.

Then I was told to wait & start next Tues, but by this point I had already done 1,098. So, I asked what about that and could it roll over to next week. I was told to just go ahead and continue, if I thought I could get 7,000 done by today Sat. I knew as long as the work was avail and pretty much came back to back I could probably reach it. You really have to be an above-average data entry person to reach this quota every week. I figure I'm doing 500 per hour, so to get 7,000 done that's about 14 hours of work. Once I've done it a while, I'm sure I can cut it down by maybe an hour or so. At any rate, $100 isn't too bad for 14 hours of my time. First of all I would like to say "Congratulations" to the following people:

1. Those of you who have begun this work and made the 7,000 quota
2. Those of you who began but realize it would be best to stop
3. Those of you who began, still with the company but, thinking about quitting

Whether you continue or not every single person who falls within the categories above will ALWAYS be successful.

If you tried and reached the quota, you are successful.
If you tried but bailed out, you are successful because "losers" are the ones who never try.
If you tried and plan on discontinuing, you are successful because you put forth an effort and eventually your "effort" will lead to succes.

On that note, I was wondering if I can obtain a little bit of assistance. I have decided to try this work but I'm having difficulty with the GMT+6 and GMT+8 time zone. Here is my question:

Once I begin working will I be allowed to do this type of task 24/7 Tuesday through Saturday or are there down times when I should not log in?

When you go to the link they email you to check out your stats, the server will tell you what time it is there. This way you can see what day they are on. You can work anytime from Tues - Sat (but realize this will be Tues - Sat in their time zone).

So, I would suggest checking the stat link to see what time it is there & realize that they may be on Sun. Technically they say not to work Sun or Mon, but I'm suspecting that would be in their time zone. So, by 4 pm est each day, it's 12:00 am in their time zone and they are on the next day. (it would be 3pm central and 12 noon in the pacific/west time zones). So, you need to be cognizant of that.

But so far, it looks as if I may have 2 chalk this one up to experience. I will keep you informed. I don't work for the company but I've been following the thread to see if ya'll are going to get paid, I sure hope so. Hopefully they are just behind on the payments since there's so many people working.

I have not as of yet gotten paid. I am becoming more and more certain that I probably will not get paid. However, I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt & give them until this evening to make good on their promise. I say this, because I was told they reset the server every Mon & clear out all of the totals. Yet they didn't clear the server on Mon, but they did clear it yesterday & all totals have been reset to zero. I feel sorry though for some that I saw who actually typed up to 10,000 & even 13,000 in one case. So, anything over 7,000 they don't get credit for.

They do say not to go over the 7,000 each week. It seems that one should wait until they clear out totals from the previous week, before starting to do the work for the current week. Otherwise your totals over 7,000 don't get counted towards the current week and get thrown out. But I still need to get paid before continuing, so I'm stopping for now. Plus I noticed once they cleared the system, that the user number went down to 22,000. This was earlier today when I checked. I just checked about 5 min ago, and it is up to 80,000. I also noticed that if you don't code anything, your username doesn't show up, until you do. So, perhaps the other 720,000 I saw on there before they cleared the system out, didn't do any more work. Most people had coded under the 7,000 requirement anyway.

So, I pray they do pay, but if not then so be it. But I'm going to advise the admin of this board to please remove the ad from the jobs list, so no one else gets sucked into this.

Yes, I think you're right. They seem to be the combined total entries of all users who have typed the codes. That explains why it went from 800,000 to 22,000, after they reset it. I thought that was an awfully high number of users. LOL. But the way they have things worded will confuse you.

Also, I see users on that I was kind of keeping track of to see how many made it to 7,000 last week. They seem to still be keying, so I would think they must have gotten paid, otherwise why would they continue to key if they hadn't been paid? So, maybe they really need two days to process all payments. At least that's what I'm hoping. It's about 9:32 a.m. there, so hopefully they will process all payments by today. And I can come back with a good report for others who may want to try this.

I am a contractor with Guru and someone else posted data entry doing the same job different people, guru found out it was a scam and work was not legit and people were not getting paid so they pulled the plug and banned them from the site...so be careful!

It's very clear that it's a scam. A friend of mine has worked for full two weeks and didn't get the payment. Ircel is no longer available and the emails sent to the ID given her are bouncing back saying that the ID doesn't exist. The ID was working perfect till last week. I am sure, she has deleted the ID and she will come back with a new ID and start posting the same job to get more people on board. 1000s of people get enrolled to the project every week and it helps those cheats to easily get their work done without paying a penny. The only way to stop is to alert the domain registrar to block the domain and hosting provider to block their service. Also, we should report to various spam police online about http://nagic.bolobomb.com/lepricon/index.php?A=PUBLICSTATS&REF=ttt2&KEY=hY3e2A how they are fraudulently work in breaking captchas thereby unleashing millions of spam stuffs. Let someone of us bell the cat.

I've also tried doing the required work for Ircel, even after speaking to them via Yahoo Chat. They assured me I would be getting paid. I encourage everyone to read through this entire thread, so they can make a rational decision! Stay away from these people please!!! They WILL NOT pay you!
