I’m almost always burning one of our wonderful candles. The last few days I have been burning Clean Cotton and Heart of the Ocean.

I love them, but today I wanted to burn something different so I grabbed my Lotus Blossom Jar Candle.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Ok, I have to confess, I am burning Vanilla Caramel. If that doesn't sound familiar, it's because it's YANKEE candle! smileys/smiley5.gif


It's burning for two reasons:


1) I haven't received my first MB shipment yet


2) I'm burning a competitor jar so I can show it at parties for comparison. Cost-wise, what I plan on selling myMB jar for is less expensive per ounce than the Yankee jar. And if I get black on the jar and/or uneven burning, it will tell a real story.


I even picked up a couple Yankee tarts at $1.99 each plus tax for 0.8 ounce. It looks like our Mia Melts are a better deal again!

Also, you're so right about the comparison because when I went to meet Kitt in Wisconsin at the craft show she had ours (votives) vs. "theirs" and WOW!!


"Their" was smaller and waxy. Really quite a difference!smileys/smiley17.gif

I'm still in love with Fresh Apple, so that's my flavor of the moment.

I'm almost to the bottom of my Butter Cream jar, so now I'm savoring that
one- it's got about one more burn time left so rather than burning it I just
leave it open and set it down beside my while I work. Mmmmm, gotta love
the smell of buttery vanilla frosting- and NO CALORIES! (The Candle
Goddess is an incurable sweet tooth, so thank goodness we have all these

Although, I DID notice a tulip sprouting in my flower bed this weekend!

I'm trying to get rid of my older candles with the old labels and discontinued scents so I am burning Charley. I am so in love with this candle now and am very upset it's discontinued. It smells like a candle I use to burn from the Y company before Mia Bella was around called Mountain Lake that was my favorite. I was thinking of e-mailing Lynn and seeing if she would just have Carmen rename it. I really think that's why it wasn't a big seller. Maybe call it Mountain Air or something. Oh well, I'll just enjoy it while I have it.

I just got done with my cinn raisin bun. I think that is one of my all time favs!!


As of now, i have the coconut macaroon burning. Kori is sending me my other fav.....Coconut and lime, so as soon as it arrives, i will light that up!!


I always burn my clean cotton votives in the bathrooms. My bedroom has the apricot freesia right now.

Shelley, you should try it! It is actually one of my favorites.It is my 2nd top seller smileys/smiley4.gif you can actually smell the Malibu rum and orange juice. Are there any bartenders out there and can tell me what else is in the actual drink??


I actually feel like I am in a beach resort when I burn that one.

I'm burning SOCP....because that's the only jar I have smileys/smiley9.gif. I'm new! I wasn't going to burn it at all, I was going to save it to sell, lol. But my curiosity got the best of me and I lit it up. I love it! My husband doesn't like it smileys/smiley3.gif, but then again, he's a weirdo smileys/smiley29.gif. So I burn it during the day when he's not home.


I can't wait to get really rolling and be able to order my first case soon so I can have some jars of my own to burn!

Okay - I've been burning that same Yankee candle for four days now.


It smells nice but I'd like a stronger scent.


There is a bit of black forming around the rim of the jar.


And it is burning extremely un-evenly! I've got a very nice hole forming in the middle with about1/4 of the candle still solid along the outside. What a waste!


So far, I've burned it for about 15 hours, and I'll be surprised if it lasts another15 hours.


Boy I was expecting more from this "top of the line" store-bought candle.
