Good Morning Fellow Bella Babes!

I was perusing one of the other forums last night, where a colleague of a
party plan company was sharing her woes- her company announced a
new policy that if their consultants failed to maintain a monthly sales
quota, they would LOSE THEIR DOWNLINE! smileys/smiley3.gifWOAH!!!

It made me realize again just how fortunate we are as Mia Bella business
partners to work with Scent-Sations. It is so rare in this industry to find a
company that treats distributors/consultants as just that-
BUSINESS PARTNERS.

I know that Scent-Sations truly values ME and the work I put in to
building my business and how that effort also contributes to building the
company. Regardless of whether I sell 30 million candles a month or
ZERO candles for the entire year, I can continue to receive a check every
month for the effort I put forth to sponsor, coach, train and build my
team.

If you think about it for a moment, anything less than that seems, well,
almost like being taken advantage of, doesn't it?

It boggles my mind why a hard working Mom should be forced by the
company she represents and promotes to jump through HOOPS to
maintain her status and continue to receive residuals and a monthly
paycheck for something that she worked hard to attain. Why the
minimum sales requirement? Why aren't these women valued for the
time, effort, and skills that they bring to the company and their continued
efforts to maintain a successful team? It takes a lot of time and effort to
train, coach, and motivate a large team on a continual basis! To require a
team leader to go out and make $500 to $1000 in retail in addition to
this in order to receive a paycheck.. well, I would feel undervalued,
personally.

BUT... NOT WITH SCENT-SATIONS! Charlie and Bobby have worked hard
to develop an ingenious program (yes, that famous COTM club!) so that
anyone who wants to build a family business can do so. With no hoops to
jump through. Does our company care about us? YOU BET!

If that's not enough to make this Candle Goddess do a little jiggety-jig
around a jar candle... I don't know what is!

Hi Kitt:

Very well put !http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif I am amazed at what other companies make their consultants go through just to stay active. They give ungodly quotas and then pay them a pittance of a percentage on sales. That is so unfair to the consultant. Unfortunately, it seems too many people don't understand the whole NWM concept and don't realize there are other companies out there with much better compensation plans.

Mia Bella is the best and I will never leave. I'm dong that dance right with ya!

Excellent post... WOW! smileys/smiley20.gif

It'spretty amazing with Mia Bella.

I met a woman who was at the "top" of her candle company. It's a candle company that produces their candles with paraffinsmileys/smiley11.gifum YIKES!

From what she told me, they apparently can mainly build their candle business with partiessmileys/smiley5.gif.

She used to do a lot of candle parties and was one of the top producers.smileys/smiley32.gifThen, in her words... She got very sick from being around "those candles burning" and after a few years of building, had to stop for "health reasons."

The monthly quotas were so high that YEP, she LOST HER DOWNLINE AND HER INCOME, after all of her work. AND she was physically ill....smileys/smiley7.gif

As a lawyer and a Mia Bella Lover, I personally find this very insulting. That's why I would NEVER NEVER NEVER "work" FORa party plan company. It's basically a hard job with no benefits.It'ssmileys/smiley11.gif ....well, I better stop heresmileys/smiley5.gif

I guess that's why we're all so excited here....smileys/smiley17.gifsmileys/smiley36.gifsmileys/smiley4.gifsmileys/smiley32.gif

It just gets more Mia Bella Scent-Sational as the years go by!smileys/smiley20.gif

That is why I always stress to people the Research Everything before signing on the dotted line! Companies and some leaders may discount or hide certian things. People need to Ask too many questions and then ask some more!

We are among the lucky ones with this awesome business And we happen to have an awesome product to sell. Maybe the word will get out to some and when it does, at least we will all be here to welcome them with open arms! smileys/smiley2.gif

You know, after reading your post, Carol, it got me to thinking-

There are probably a LOT of women out there who just don't know what
other possibilities are available as far as commission percentages,
residual income, flexibility in retailing, and so on.

My reaction to the original post in the PP folder and my angst about the
unfairness of some of the party plans out there, along with Carol's post
above, have been a real catalyst for me to try to put together some
information for other women out there looking for a home business
opportunity.

The result? My new blog entry, an attempt to "Stamp out WAHM
Oppression!" (Ha- yes, dramatic, but I am A Candle Goddess, after all!)
smileys/smiley36.gif

I hope some of you will check it out and leave your comments-
supportive or not.. The Candle Goddess loves a good debate. It's all in
the spirit of supporting fellow WAHM's after all! smileys/smiley20.gif Link below:

Hands down, there is no Better company than Mia Bella/Scent-sations! And I have done my research. There is no other company with the Integrity, Team Spirit, Support, and Compensation planthat Scent-sations has.

What stinks is that so many men and women will try other programs and get discouraged before they get on board with Scent-sations. So we better get on it, spreading the word! smileys/smiley2.gif

You know this topic is one of my irritants as well.I am getting on the soapbox now...smileys/smiley36.gif

We preach too much about finding your Passion! But what people mis interept is that Passion does not only mean that you have to love the product... You don't! You have to find the best company for you and if it happens to be a product that you are Ok with then you have the Passion to do the bestdang job selling that product because you want to succeed... Passion does not only mean for the Product! It means you have to have the Fire within as well!

Someone can love the heck out of a lipstick, stampsor a purse or whatever they are addicted to, but if you do not have Fire, Passion and Commitment to inspire your customers to love it, then you are sitting on product and no sales....A lot of wahms get into this area and don't realize Why they have no sales! But you said to Love my product and I do... But if you are not out there shouting it to the world, then you alone will beloving your product.

I think we have to help change the wahm world and the perception of passion and success!

What say you????
