My husband and are both former high school teachers and now adjunct at a community college. We have been through a phone interview with K12 (which wasn't much of an interview; I asked questions and the girl answered them), a lengthy questionairre that included personality questions, math problems, and word analogies, and now we have been invited to attend a Webinar this Friday. We are still pretty stumped about what exactly teaching for the Icademy entails and really question the hiring process in general.
Can anyone tell me if it is really worth jumping through these strange hoops for this position? Is K12 reputable? Is there any actual teaching involved in the job or is it simply grading papers and answering student/parent questions?
Any help you can give me would be great!

k12 is a highly credible company yes. I can't imagine that they have not shown you more information yet. But the webinar is going to probably give you more information and answer plenty of questions for you.
It's an online teaching job for their Private School... and they'll have kids around the globe too.

Kaz -- I had the same exact question! I know it's been several months now, but was the webinar useful? Did you ever find out more information?
