Reservation Sales Counselors
(Part time positions 29 hours per week - Sample schedules below )
PT (29 hrs) –
Sample #1: Sun 12-5, Mon 10-630, Tues 12-8, Wed 12-8
Sample #2: Wed 12-8, Thrs 1030-630, Fri 1-8, Sat 9-5
SUMMARY: Responsible for receiving inbound Sales calls and providing reservation assistance to reserve Tauck journeys. This position offers a telecommuter option whereby the Reservations Sales Counselor will work from home.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide timely and efficient response with a high degree of customer service when responding to telephone inquiries and taking reservation requests.
• Maintain overall familiarity with varied procedures for handling travel agent and client telephone calls and sales, including distinctions between different types of inquires, booking activities, telephone procedures and appropriate responses.
• Ability to sell Tauck journeys to travel agents and guests.
• Support the training of any associates involved in reservations by sharing product knowledge or computer knowledge, as needed, especially for recently hired trainees.
• The ability to step in and assist other departments when necessary
Required Skills
SKILLS / ABILITIES / KNOWLEDGE:
• Enthusiastic & customer-oriented, committed to maintaining high standards of performance on the job.
• Cooperates with others and helps to foster a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and work with computer programs.
• Airline CRS knowledge is preferred, but not required.
Required Experience
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Related Customer Service/Sales Call Center experience.

You have to go to their Norwalk CT office for four weeks of training.

thanks for clarifying the Norwolk, CT training bit. I wish companies would put that in their ads, but oh well hope it works out for someone, pls let me know if it does.
