Hello,
I applied to a job on Odesk which pays hourly. The buyer seemed interested in me because he sent a message to me about an hour later. He provided his number for me to call and discuss the job.
It's designing a logo and some web design. My question is where do we go from there. He wants me to call him, I guess to discuss more on the subject but do I start the job without officially being hired on Odesk?
I want to call him back but I want to know how this whole thing with Odesk works..
P.S. he is a newbie too on Odesk, this is his first job assignment

NEVER start work without being hired on odesk first. Calling him on the phone to discuss the job without being hired is fine. Most buyers want to do phone or skype interviews before hiring you.
Just DONT do any work if he says hes going to hire you until he actually does hire you through odesk and odesk sends you email notification that your assignment has begun.
