Hey everyone, I am looking at tastefully simple. Does anyone know anything about this company? I am looking into companies that sell consumable products and things that people want !!!!

Hi Bessiebee:

I don't sell for them but I love their products. I have tasted another companies productsbut always come back to Tastefully Simple. I do think they have monthly quotas and not the highest profit %. Hopefully someone from that company will answer you.

I definitely agree with going with a company with consumable products. That's why I chose mine.

Best of luck in your search.

If you don't get an answer from someone here, I do know of someone with
them. I never tried the products. I did look into them a while back,
and obviously decided against it. I've heard their stuff is very YUMMY!
They've been around for quite sometime. Until I checked them out, I had
no idea how long they'd been in business. Just pm me if you need the
contact info.

Take care!

There are quite a few good food comapanies out there. Tastefully Simple
was one of the first. I remember there being a previous thread
about them. You may want to do a search and go down into the
folders and see what is down in them. I know there is also Two
Sisters Gourmet, Meaghan's Pantry (I know a founding Consultant if you
want info) there are also many other companies (Tupperware, Pampered
Chef, etc)that sell other products that are now offering the same
things as these specialty food plans. I thought I would mention
that since it now opens the door to look into all the different
companies and their plans. I definately recommend taking time to
check them all out and find the right fit for you.

Finding a company with a consumable product is a good idea. With a
quality product and good company your clients will come back for
more. It is also a good idea to look at your market. What
would they buy? I chose The Traveling Vineyard because it was
consumable and a product that is growing in popularity. The fact
we have basically no/little competition was a plus too. I still
believe you need to go with what you can be passionate about and a
company/product you can beleive in. Good luck with your search.

I think it is wise to look for something that is consumable. It's always nice to be in your pj's getting reorder phone calls! I believe that they make 25% on their products. That's pretty typical for the home companies. Mary Kay makes 50% and has other great advantages, so if you're interested in getting more info on MK, let me know. I do know someone with Tastefully
Simple who seems really nice. I let her know that someone is looking, so hopefully she'll pop on here and give you some info. Best of luck on your search!

I love their products and I know alot of reps set up at craft shows. I also know they don't allow their reps to do online advertising.

I checked into TS a couple of years ago and decided against it for 2 reasons:
#1 - the inventory
#2 - the price
I live in a low income rural area and have already worked for an "expensive company" for 8 years that was VERY difficult. I didn't want to go back to that. And the person I talked with about TS said that they make better commissions on the things your sell right at your parties than what you have to order for people. I have a tiny house and no storage space. I have enough trouble trying to put our clothes away! smileys/smiley36.gif I have to say, I've never been to one of their parties, but I've heard good things about them. I've had 2 tastings parties with Watkins and LOVED them, their prices (although some thigns are still high) and would have considered them as a business if I hadn't found something I love more.
Just my 2 cents! Good luck in whatever you do!

Hey, Lisa! Hi. Well, maybe it's time for a second look at TS! lol. I was one of the first consultants to run my business and train my team as totally "no-inventory" and have had such success that it has spawned duplication throughout the company. It took a while for headquarters to come on board, but I'm happy to say, they've listened to their consultants and are now gearing EVERYTHING to support the No-Inventory consultant. It's already become the norm and I predict it will be policy soon and eliminate the cash-and-carry option altogether.

I felt the same way as you when I first went to a party. I thought "I could do this if it weren't for the inventory." (some of the info you were given was inaccurate) When I found out it's NOT a requirement, I decided to break some ground and see what could be done. My sales were as high as the cash-and-carry consultant (customers only have to wait one week for product) and my recruiting was triple due to the fact that no-inventory means low start-up fee, and most people who are attracted to the biz opp are in need of money - they don't have $2000 sitting around to start a biz. No-inventory allows you to start with a minimal $170 investment and be turning a healthy profit within your first two parties!

I obviously love what I do and could brag about my company forever, but will spare you all and just point out that we've only been around for 10 years, so things are going to continue changing for the better as we work out the kinks. I'm excited about our newest change which is to simplify our sampling so that we no longer have to pour or prep for parties! Our samples now come in pre-poured 6packs like the nugget sauce you'd get from McDonalds! The baked goods and things that need dairy additions are in the host kit, so she gets to prepare those. Easier than ever to run a profitable business and show others how.

Wow Theresa, sounds like they've made some changes. But I'm really hooked on my company now. My calendar is almost always full (ok, 'cept for right now) and I love the company and products, plus being top seller last year doesn't hurt any. But...should anything change, TS would probably be back on my list of places to check out.

Lisa, company loyalty is a good thing. It means they are treating you well and you're being fufilled on more than just a monetary level. Sounds like you've found a good fit!smileys/smiley1.gif

HI bessiebee, I'm a Two Sisters Gourmet Consultant, if you need information call me (205-567-9398) thanks!

Hi, Wendi! I thought Two Sisters was shut down? My sponsor is in MI and was part of the big court case when one of her recruits leftTastefully Simple and spun off her own company. Did they just end up selling the company to someone else to get around the no-compete clauses? Actually, I think this was a while ago, so if you're new to Two Sisters you may not be able to fill me in. But if you know, I'd love to know how it was resolved! No, I don't plan on quitting and starting my own company - lol. I just heard so much about this from the beginning since my sponsor was a material witness and I never got to hear the ending! (some kind of gag order)What state are you in? I'm in OH and I've never met a rep from your company around here to ask. TIA!
